I do not have a drill for weapon barrels :( so I had to paint it...
That's the final result... maybe too damaged ?

No it looks really nice. Yellow isn't the most workable color in the world but you have done a good job weathering it. I would suggest burnt umber for shadows (Vallejo Model Air) since it goes in much better than brown. You can also try burnt umber oil paint and make a wash with it.

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

I would suggest an edge highlight as someone who plays imperial fists as well. Also have a side project because yellow will become maddening after awhile.

I try to use red instead of black (bolters and details) on this purpose... thanks for the advice.
btw we got lots of side projects, at least 10 different fantasy army by now, take a look at my signature

Could've sword I commented on here before. Oh well: Very good work on those, the yellow is a great shade.
The only thing I'd suggest is hitting the armour joints on the VV with metallics, other than that they're great!

Thanks a lot mate! Armour joints with metallics ? Do you mean boltgun metal ? Or black would be better ?
