Been working on making my chaosy Knight for my Night Lords army (I play with friends, they let me with Chaos )

The shoulder & shin plates, base, and helm / face plate are being customized by my buddy Steve at WFM, so he should look pretty sick I think upon completion! Would love any ideas, C&C, or just general thoughts on my big guy.

Looks really cool thus far! The lighting bolts are well done. Although sometimes they don't work for my personal aesthetic, I like the way you're doing them here!

aha its just to make it look more chaosy instead of a normal stubber my poor defiler got slaughtered for this thing. The autocannons on the stubbers, the battle cannon on the battle cannon

I'm glad these ones are more your fancy, I've quite enjoyed the way they are looking so far! Now to get it onto the rest of the model all the same..



A little update, not much more done but at least some of the bronze / gold!

Really great work Zotac, both painting and modeling. I see a lot of folks attempt Night Lords but very few do them well. I'm highly anticipating your progress on this model!

Looking great so far. You've done an excellent job with the lightning bolts.

Wow this is amazing, the bronze is great, the highlights are done really well. And the lightning effect is pretty much perfect.

I can't wait to see more

This is really terrific work, I love it.

I'm not 100% sold on the wings, though this may change once it's all put together; but good job so far!

Thank you for the kind words! I dont find myself great at conversions but I've got no problem mixing some bits into the knight!

Some updates! Steve working away on the shoulders..



and some minor paint updates, still lots to go yet!

For me, the jury's still out on the Torso wings. I think there's potential, but they might clash with the work your buddy's doing.
You did an excellent job on the overall chaosification of the model, though. Especially liking your work on the cannon arm conversion.

Don't worry they won't be on it until I'm happy with them! if i am not satisfied in the end with how they look, then they just won't end up on it :( And yeah we're trying to figure out a way for that too, have discussed it. Is going to lower the middle top spike but he doesnt think will interfere toooo much.. will figure it out

Daaaaaaaaamn, how did I miss this thread? Your Knight is coming along absolutely beautifully!

Seeing this makes me wonder why Chaos doesn't have access to Knights... If anything, your relatively simple (but highly effective) conversions make the Knight look better as a Chaos war machine than an Imperial one.

I've been mentally toying with a conversion idea of my own, and I wanted your input if you wouldn't mind.

I can't really tell from your pictures, but based on your experience with this model, how much effort would be involved in mounting the cannon in that gap between the shoulders, so that the barrel comes out over the head?

Is the back plate a necessity? How does the back look without it?
