Hi,

I need a tutorial how to paint dead bodies (faded flesh colour). Hope you can help me. Here's the base:

I suppose it would depend on how you want them to have died/how long they've been there.

Poisonings can cause skin discoloration.

Severe blood loss will make them pallid.

Trauma can leave bruises long after their dead.

Wow... CSI and Bones taught me stuff.

you will need a something like a usual flesh colour but paler and greener, I think.

Ahh, it saves so much effort when other people make your posts for you

As xXWeaponPrimeXx says, it really depends on how fresh you want them. If death is fairly recent then standard flesh colours will be fine and you needn't even put lots of gore on.

My advice would be to paint normal flesh and then add Bleached Bone (or whatever the current equivalent is) to the skin colour near all the areas that have been cut/torn and at the hands to show blood loss. I would then add some grey to the basic skin colour, water it down heavily and gently put as many layers on as looks right for the effect you want. Bruising sounds like a great idea too if done subtly. I would then use some watered down grey to mottle the flesh, probably using some sponge. You could even add some fine sand here and there to show they have gathered a layer of dirt if you want.
