Bit sad to be doing this, never had to post one of these before. However, I felt it was worth telling the forum about.
I agreed via PM with Desert Raider that I would purchase 2 Nephilim Jetfighters, a Contemptor Dreadnought and a Terminator Chaplain figure, and paid him on April 25th. He provided closeup photos of the two Contemptor Dreadnoughts he was selling, but the only photo including the Nephilim Jetfighters which I was ever shown was the one I have attached to this post.
April 29th, the items arrrived, but one wing on each Nephilim Jetfighter was broken off, and the teleport homer pieces extending from the sides on one of them were also broken. More importantly, while both are fully glued and assembled, neither includes either stands nor the pilot figures, only an empty seat, which the hatch has been glued over. While I accept that the image provided does not include flight stands, there was no way to tell about the cockpit/pilot issue from the image as shown. However, when I contacted Desert Raider about this, he insisted that they were sold as seen, and that it is my fault for not asking for more details of the two items. I told him that it was disingenuous of him to claim that when it is something that is impossible to tell from the photo provided, and we had a civilised but fruitless exchange via PM. When I informed him that I wanted either the appropriate parts, or their cash value from the cheapest source possible (I suggested £8, the cost of two Nephilim pilots from Bitsandkits), he told me that he felt I was taking him for a ride, and that there would be no partial refund. Accordingly, I have now made a claim via Paypal for the amount mentioned and await resolution that way.
EDIT: following my opening a Paypal dispute, Desert Raider and I have settled the matter and I consider it resolved.
