It is the 41st Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries The Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the Master of Mankind by the will of the gods, and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day, so that he may never truly die.

Yet even in his deathless state, the Emperor continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the Warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astronomican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor's will. Vast armies give battle in his name on uncounted worlds. Greatest amongst his soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines, bio-engineered super-warriors. Their comrades in arms are legion: the Imperial Guard and countless planetary defense forces, the ever vigilant Inquisition and the tech-priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from aliens, heretics, mutants - and worse.

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

___

Among the billions of people of the Imperium, you stood out. In one way or another, you have been noticed. Perhaps you were exceptionally skilled at something, or perhaps you were born with certain gifts that only a select few posses. Whatever you have done to stand out from the rest, you have been chosen to serve in one of the Ordos of the Emperor's Holy Inquisition, the Ordo Hereticus, taking the fight to the enemies of the Imperium that corrupt it from within, hunting down the heretic and mutant wherever they dwell. Since having been brought into service of Inquisitor Soverin Lucius Bocarrossa, your life has changed drastically. You have done things you would never imagine you would do, and know things that would have driven others mad. You have become an acolyte of the Holy Inquisition.

___

So, eh, just spilling this idea. RP, where we're all members of the Ordo Hereticus set on some investigation that hasn't been determined yet. There's still some stuff to decide, and apps to be made, but I'm just seeing if there's any interest for this! If there is, we'll start in two to three weeks time (which is still a bit, yep..). Hope to hear from y'all.

I've always wanted an Eversor in my army... just never wanted Grey knights xD.... imo the assassins should have been in the Inq Detachment.

Name: Hantal Dravis former junior commissar
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Appearance: fresh faced former commissar, maintaining his official uniform.

Preferred equipment: power sword and plasma pistol
Personality: dour, unbreakably loyal to the emperor and seemingly fearless
Bio: Hantal Dravis was a former junior commissar in an unknown (now lost) astra militarum regiment. Known as a keen and eager to please officer, his personally changed following a tyranid invasion of the regiments home planet. Dravis was pulled from the planet shortly before exterminatus was declared, one of only 47 survivors. In his next placing he became known for a more serious approach, and contributed his knowledge and experience ahead of another tyranid assault on the forces under his supervision. Once again he was one of a small number of survivors. This seeming luck drew the attention of inquisitorial forces and his specialist knowledge on xenos forces led to his induction into their service.
Skills:
-Exceptional: xenos knowledge and experience
-Good: close combat
-Good: lucky
-Poor/bad: not likeable

Name:
Dyana Bak
Gender:
Female
Age:
33
Appearance:
Dyana Bak can be described as being a woman of average stature and build. She is in fact not exceptional at all appearance wise. Not ugly to most but not a idol of beauty either. Her hair is of a dirty blonde color and is cut so that it does not reach below her ears. Her complexion is fair and features no noticeable blemishes save for a scar on her stomach. Her eyes are of a faded blue color and she has a few freckles on her cheeks.

Preferred equipment:
Hotshot Lasgun
Autopistol

Personality:
A patriot at heart Dyana wants nothing more than to serve the Emperor however she can. Outside of the typical traits a good servant of the Imperium should have Dyana is can be described as friendly but reserved. She is also easily impressed and will often laugh at jokes that no one has any business laughing at. However, she can be cruel when it comes to dealings with mutants (Including Abhumans) even more so than other Stormtroopers. She despises them with all of her being for apparently unknown reasons.

Bio:
Born on Necromunda Dyana Bak was the daughter of nobility. She spent her childhood secluded away from the horrors of the Hive World. That was until a local uprising claimed her entire family along with several other nobles. After the local law enforcement with Arbite support put the rebels down Dyana was found in the smouldering remains of her home searching for her parents. Not too long after she was sent to the Schola Progenium.
During her upbringing there Bak was heavily influenced by the fiery oratory of the Ministorum. She wanted nothing more than to join the Adepta Sororitas, preferably the Sisters of Battle, and bring the flame of the Emperor onto the stars. Unfortunately it was determined that she lacked the personal conviction to make for a good Sororitas but she had the physical capacity to make for a promising Storm Trooper. And as such she was trained. It was a grueling time in her life. The instructors were quite abusive towards the trainees often beating them or even occasionally forcing them to kill each other. After training she was assigned to the Delta Scorpions Storm Trooper regiment where her service was acceptable but not remarkable.
That was until her squad was requisitioned by a Inquisitor to assist his investigation of a world that had refused to pay it's tithes despite having several changes in regime. After they arrived it was soon discovered that the world was under the damning influence of Chaos. Worse, a group of Word Bearers Space Marines had arrived and were about to bring on a invasion of Chaos. The Inquisitor searched for any troops that had not fallen under the sway of Chaos and eventually found a Regiment to assist in purging in the Word Bearers. The raid was bloody to the say the least. The PDF Regiment lost most of it's troops within hours after engaging both Chaos Marines and Renegade soldiers. Meanwhile the Stormtroopers and the Inquisitor searched for the Chaos Sorcerer behind it all. They found the man in a room filled to the ceiling with defiled corpses, readied for sacrifice. The Sorcerer and his men cut down the group save for Dyana and the Inquisitor. In return, the Sorcerer had lost most of his soldiers so it came down to a duel between this warped former Legionnaire and two regular humans. He struck down the Inquisitor and badly wounded Dyana in the span of a few minutes. The Sorcerer then returned to the altar he had created and resumed the foul ritual he had been performing. While he was distracted crawled over to a dead Chaos marine, picked up his Boltgun, braced herself on the ground and fired the entire magazine off into the Sorcerer. His neck exploded in a mist of gore and shattered ceramite.
The Chaos invasion had been stalled for now and the Inquisitor returned to his ship with Dyana so that he may both recoup and call in the Imperial Guard to restore order. While Dyana was being treated she was under watch in case the brief contact she had with warp tainted metal had corrupted her. Fortunately it did not and she eventually recovered. Rather than being returned to her Regiment Dyana was selected by the Inquisitor as a potential candidate for his organization. He inducted her into their ranks as an Acolyte and sent her elsewhere to be mentored by another Inquisitor.

Skills:
-Exceptional: Marksmanship
-Good: Strong
-Good: Close Combat Capability
-Poor/bad: Knows next to nothing about Xenos outside of Imperial propaganda.

Long-Range Ultramarine Land Speeder Pilot

Manchester, UK

Name: Codicier Daceus of the Ultramarines 4th
Gender: Male
Age: 72
Appearance: Like a typical son of Guilleman. Short brown hair, in the blue power armour, white helmet, olive green trims on the armour's pauldrons. Armour is adorned with a cloth, various aracane wards, books and keys.

Preferred equipment: Power armour, bolter, a short force gladius.
Personality: Pragmatic, tactical, adheres to the codex astartes strictly.
Bio: A student of Tigurius. A relatively young marine, selected for his skills as a Psyker, he has comparitively little battle experience compared to more marines, but makes up for this with solid tactical acumen and powerful psychic abilities.

Skills:
-Exceptional: Psychic powers, in particularly pyromancy and divination.
-Good: A good shot with a bolter.
-Good: Reasonable close combat skills with his Force gladius.
-Poor/bad: His strength is often his weakness, he is too headstrong and arrogant in his abilities with control over the Warp - it's only a matter of time until this threatens to consume him.

He's a bit young for a Space Marine, isn't he? I suggest making him a tad older. Other than that, accepted + our Space Marine and psyker spot filled.

I'm hoping one or two more, but we're starting regardless.

Keep in mind that it'll be a good two weeks before the IC gets up, as I'm going on a holiday to the UK tomorrow
In that time I'll be making some of the NPCs and I'll be working out our mission..

Name: Sergeant Gilliam Teodor
Gender: Male
Age: 36
Appearance: Slightly shorter than average, long black hair, nearly black eyes. Multiple scars across body, including one running across his face, but no limb loss. Slightly skinny. Clean-shaven, with prominent cheekbones and jawline.

Preferred equipment:
Looted matt-black Stormtrooper Carapace armour
Sniper Rifle, with an array of special ammos and attachments
A pair of laspistols
Combat knife
Demolition charge and frag grenades
Grav-chute

Personality: Nearly non-existant, for being an utter psychopath. Cares little for his comrades or his own safety, but is not stupid. Lives only to serve the Imperium in any way, shape or form.
Bio: Recruited into the Imperial Guard to avoid a hanging for arson on his Hive World, Teodor served as Squad Sergeant of the Polonian 501st Drop Troops for many years, earning the fear of officers and recruits throughout the regiment. He was renowned for leading suicidal airdrops onto enemy trenches, shooting troopers the moment they questioned their loyalties and relentlessly polishing his equipment after every assignment. However, after a fighting Chaos rebellion on the world of Terlaken, and the presence of Alpha Legionaires, his regiment, along with the whole Imperial battlegroup on world was bombarded by Inquisitorial ships from orbit for coming in contact with Chaos. His squad was one of the last survivors on planet. They were forced to trek for weeks across the world until, by some stroke of luck, recovered a barely-functioning shuttle from the ashen surface. Leaving the atmosphere, Teodor's unit was ambushed by the very Inquisitor who had shelled their comrades. They were given one chance: "Kill your squadmates and the last man standing will have proven themselves a true servant of the Emperor, or we will obliterate you." Teodor walked onto the Inquisitor's ship, the blood of his horrified comrades slick over every inch of his immaculate uniform.
Skills:
-Exceptional: Loyalty and obedience
-Good: Accuracy and eyesight
-Good: Intelligence and logic
-Poor/bad: Social skills and empathy
