Looks great, however not corrupted enough at all. If you want the taint of chaos, you need markings and symbols at least (I know spikes can get really boring and overrated). But the weathering looks good, although for a chaos battlefield I expect there to be more gore and dirt built up. I think you are at a 5 and you need to take it to 10. Also the model looks pretty stock, you need to hack those up with some battle damage.

Researching old ballefields is a good place to start. I usually have a few inspirational images around when I'm building to think about the effect I'm going for.

Depends on what you want to achieve, you could split one with a plasma blast, melted through. I would probably chop up one end like it was crushed in some accident, tear it up and put tangled metal edge twisted with the center part crushed like concrete with some rebar like stuff. Put close combat damage such as cuts, you could add a lot more bullet/shell damaged holes.

Chips, bullet holes, rust, gore, dust etc etc etc.
Easy way to do the sort of bullet holes GW does is to take a hobby knife, twist the point in until you have a hole, then dig the knife into the edges of the hole. And rust is nothing more than orangey browns and...oranges...stippled onto an area.
Keep at it and it'll look great!

One easy way to add some weathering is to add some number decals ("Section 003" or whatever) and chip the paint so they look properly weathered. Rusty metal can tend to blur together from a distance, but something like a heavily chipped white number on each piece would clearly say "this is old and damaged".

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |
