Not a fan of the old GW model its terrible.

So I'm trying to kitbash my own.

Done a wee bit more, need to wait for the first lot of modelling putty to dry now.

Which arm do you guys think is best? staff, sword or dagger? I'm quite partial to the sword I think as the left arm is out as if casting a spell so I think the other hand holding a sword would be cool.

Adding some flattened material to the upper legs might help, and extend the dress train over the back of the mount.

If you wanted the tight skirt, sidesaddle might be the only real way to get it to work for you.

I'm much happier with this now, what do you guys think?

I'm not sure my modelling putty work is smooth enough, you won't be able to tell to well from the picture... I'm not sure whether to just leave it and see how it paints up.
I quite often make things worse by not letting them just be finished.

The other traditional way to ride a horse as a female noble is side sadle. That can look quite cool but for a vampire queen you could easily imagine her having no time for that kind of shenannigans.

I think theres a bretonian sorceress who rides sidesadle,

I very nearly modelled her side saddle but decided at the last minute to go the way I did.

Great work! I've never been fond of the GW model myself, and seeing this motivates me to start looking at building my own instead.

Thanks yeh that was my motivation for it. There are some amazing plastic kits about now so I find myself looking for ways to use bits as much as looking for bits for a specific model LOL

Looks good, and a split riding dress makes way more sense that going into a battle riding side-saddle.
