Hi Folks,

recently I got involved in EPIC again. Time to add some more section to my Website:
http://www.adpublishing.de/html/epic.html

When Jervis Johnson first asked me at the beginning of 2002 if I would like to get involved in the design and development of Epic’s next incarnation by becoming a member of the ‘Titans’ team, I immediately said yes. After nearly two years development work on Epic Armageddon was released.
But as many of you know GW decided to fully concentrate on their flagship game 40K and soon Epic was again OOP. The good Thing now, there is a healthy online community and many new miniatures!

Feel free to check out my page!
All the classic Content is there (Black Templars, Titans...) and some new Horus Heresy sections plus the Sisters of Battle!

Some teaser pics...

After showing the pics above I received a lot of requests about a small tutorial.

Normally I really do not like to write about how I paint my minis, since there is NOTHING special. Just all the techniques that are explained over and over on the net or countless better videos anyway.

Anyway, here you go: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/iron_hands1.html
Have fun.

A new take on Titans!

The design is highly inspired by the fantastic Forge World redesign of the Warhound. A fan made model that is not commercially available. As you can read above I was never really happy with the Lucius pattern design, so you can imagine my joy when I saw the Mars pattern Epic scale mini!

And a group shot with some Epic scale Heresy models.

And finally Infantry, best 6 mm Marines ever! I was blown away when I first unpacked them, but after painting them I am a true believer! These ARE great.

10x individual poses! Separate backpacks to also attach the Mk IV jump packs!

Monstrous Master Moulder

I did a bunch of them for a commission... the casts were sadly pretty bad... To the point that the mouldlines were almost as "deep" as some of the detail.

Had the same experience?

damn, I would be so eager to get my Death Guard up and running if there were decent 6mm models available, I ended up having to proxy Mechwarrior models in for superheavy tanks last time I played

Absolutely NOT, they were as clean as it gets!
But mine are probably from a different sculptor, they are more or less brand new...

Those death guard are amazing. I am also envious of that Space Marine Fellblade, I'd love to own one myself.

These more modern epic ones fit right in with the old, that is the most remarkable part of it all. Very nice schemes as well.

6mm is the scale of champions! I've been doing loads of (non-GW) 6mm SF recently. I might have to resurrect my Showcase gallery for them.

- Reaver Titan

Again a scratchbuild fan made model that is not commercially available. The Reaver Titan; the design is again inspired by the fantastic Forge World redesign of the current Reaver.

Everything is great, totally awesome, but that Reaver is one of the best pieces I think I may have ever seen.

It's difficult to envision how the Reaver moves being so huge and having such awkward looking legs and feet, but the creator of that really captured a sense of motion I feel the actual FW version has a tough time recreating. It seems difficult to really get a sense of what these things would look like walking across a planet, you'd see them from over the horizon after all. That's definitely part of the appeal of Warhammer, the humongous scale of everything, it gets your mind thinking on that level.

I find myself appreciating the piece on a level much more subtle than most miniatures work seems to achieve, truly inspiring.

Again EPIC, a new project - maybe as opponents for my Sisters of Battle: Epic Genestealer Cult.

The above model are from GWs original Tyranid range (Genestealer) and from Onslaught minis.

Only a beginning, hopefully more soon.
