So, hey, posting introductions isn't really my thing so I figured I'd go straight for a blog.

So basically, I like Warhammer 40k (mainly, atleast). No interest in playing, but I enjoy the stories and I just got back into painting after having not painted a miniature for many years.
The purpose of this blog is to document my journey of trying to become a better painter. I also hope it will be interesting to follow this journey for those who wish to do so.

Anyway, let's get to it. As I only just got back into the hobby, I decided to start slow with some of the cheap snap-fit kits. A bit of an attempt to get the basics down before I tackle something larger/costlier/more detailed I suppose.

So far, I've painted one model, a termagant, decided to go for somewhat earthly, natural colors for this one:

Overall, I think it's a pretty good start, although it looks better in the pictures then in real life, hah.

Next up is going to be another termagant, but a different color scheme, aww yeah.

Welcome to dakka

Your painting looks pretty good seeing as you have not painted for a while - look forward to seeing your progress.

Cool, I like the mouth and the teal colour of the hooves etc. Nice earthly tones, but still definitely alien because of the accent colour ^^
What are you planning on painting? Just random models, or still towards collecting tyranids?

Thanks guys.

soulcow: It's going to be mostly random models, for now atleast.

So, got some painting done, finished two termagant, one that I'm happy with and one not so much.

The light blue one did not turn out well at all, couldn't get anything right on it, didn't really know where I was going with it either.
The grey and blue one I'm very happy with, maybe not the best color scheme, but I think the painting itself turned out really well.

The final two termagants have also been started, as you can see.
