Hi all,

The winds of change are blowing here in Tokyo and me and a few other players are looking at starting Infinity. Where is the best place to order models online?

FYI, looks like Ariadna, ALEPH, YuJing Japanese sec., and myself Combined Army so far.

Thanks for the help!

Wayland Games is offering free shipping on all orders over £40 right now. That might be good if you're ordering from Japan.

Here in the USA, I usually order from The Warstore or Miniature Market. But their international shipping rates vary.

I remember a post from a player from the Philippines a while ago, and someone advised him to order from a Japanese company ... but I don't remember which one
I'm pretty sure it was on Dakka

I'd love to know more about this.

Wayland seems to have a mixed to bad reputation according to their dakka thread.

Any other thoughts?

Wayland are decent if they have the product in stock. If not, you're best waiting or looking elsewhere.

Shae-Konnit, what are your typical UK shipping rates, I couldn't find anything on your site about it?

Uk is £1, as the order hits £20 it becomes free.

And thanks for calling this to my attention, I have now added these details to the Delivery tab.

Awesome, that's very reasonable. I may put in an order after I've got through Icestorm.

That's the post I was referring to
My memory failed though, the advice was to look at Japanese or Australian stores, it didn't reference any Japanese ones (but maybe Australian is good enough, they got some good scenery companies too)
Sorry

Thanks!

The shipping is really reasonable but the selection features only 2 or 3 models of the 10 I need.

Thanks for the help. Still looking for options.

If it's not there, just let me know and I can easily order it!
I place orders with my supplier every Sunday night and they arrive the following Tuesday so the waiting time is not very long

I ordered Infinity stuff from Wayland when I was in South Korea. Service was from Wayland themselves was acceptable - got stung by import tax, but then that's the reality of bringing in anything new from abroad there - not sure of the situation for Japan?

I think there is some kind of option that they use whereby VAT is removed from the overall price, but this then goes towards shipping - I would probably contact them by their 'ticket' option they have on the site.

Cheers for the reply. I think Shae-Konnit is the way to go.

I got my Inifinity from store.wargamingtrader.com, which was fairly reasonable shipping wise. Based out of the UK, but he makes a box to fit the order so you end up paying slightly less for shipping because you aren't having to pay for a half ton of packing peanuts.

Actually, ordering from a smaller company might increase the chance that they will write 'gift' on the box for you for tax purposes. Especially if they are willing to remove the component bags from the packaging and just send the miniatures themselves.

I ended up paying a fair bit extra on import tax on new goods, think it worked out close to an extra 30% on the original price or so (although that was for South Korea, not sure what kind of scheme Japan operates).

I've not ordered from them yet but http://the-outpost.co.uk/faqs/ seem to have the best base discount on infinity minis that I've seen.

Anyone have any previous dealings with them?

I know a store in Taiwan is stocking a decent amount of Infinity now. Much closer to Japan so hopefully the postage wouldn't be too obscene.

Is there facebook page. Maybe that helps!

Looks like Hobbymetal Iconoclasm has started selling Infinity as well. http://www.hobbymetal-iconoclasm.com/

I've used them for 40K, and they're pretty prompt, but I've never tried ordering out of stock items. They're based in Osaka, so maybe if that's close you could check them out.
