Not overly impressive as it's just one skeleton I know, but after a couple days work trying to make it look good, I present to you, my first swamp skeleton.

I painted the bone up as normal: zandri dust, sepia wash then layered ushabti bone, then gave it a light wash of biel tan green to give it the mossy, swampy look.

This was how I was going to theme my VC army. I didn't get around to finishing painting, but I cut a lot of my skeletons so they looked as if they were coming out of the bases or dragging their bodies (minus legs) through the swamp.

Here he is finished with some more gloss, some mud on his shins and a couple of army painter swamp tufts. Really brings it all together I think.

I really like, well, basically everything about this! The color of the bone is perfect, i love that blueish rust on the armor and sword, and the base looks very wet. There's just something about a well painted and based skeleton that never gets old.
