Hey everyone! I recently assembled a deathwing army that is in need of a paint job. I really like the distressed/ weathered bone armor look of the first picture i'm attaching (the tactical marines)
What would be the best way to achieve that look?
- I'm thinking army painter primer at skeleton bone, dry bushing with 2 shades of brown, a seraphim sepia wash, and than more touch up with ushabti bone / screaming skull highlights
-OR would it be better to start with a dark brown primer and dry brush my way down to the bone color?

OR do you guys prefer the paint scheme on picture 2(termie)?

I love them both and cannot decide which to attempt.

Check out this pre-heresy model. Simply amazing.

Should I try painting all 3 and picking my favorite? I have 21 termies right now

For me i like the first pic better. death wing (to me) is 80% bone white 10% greens 10% reds. the white on that termie is to.. well white (lol) for me and i cant really see much green or red in there unless you make them just as bright and i dont think thats whats you wants. try doing the bone white with green out lines on the shoulder guards and reds on the knees and sargs helms.

that just my Opt. and you should always make ur own desitions about your own paint skems. just remember paint in 3s! its the best way to spread some nice highlights on a mostly 1 color miniature

My vote would be for this way.
