Hey guys!

I am thinking of custom some looted Elysian Tauros Assault Vehicule! I have found they mesurment of the actual (Ugly and too old) orks warbuggy.

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Imperial_Guard/Elysian_Drop_Troops/ELYSIAN_TAUROS_ASSAULT_VEHICLE.html

warbuggy: 2" tall to gunners head, just over 2" wide, 3.5" long

Do you guys have the dimmension of the Tauros?? I cant find it anywere... The Venator is slightly less than 4" long and slightly more than 2" wide, and to the highest part of the turret is 2" tall. Seems to be close to the warbuggy size !

What you guys think?

That will be awesome! And very much more how I imagine a buggy to look.

No dimensions but if you look at the two FW pictures side by side the Venator is slightly longer to accommodate the extra wheel, but itis only slightly. I'd be surprised if it was more than half an inch difference.

Doesn't fw make ork buggies with a similar feel? I can't get on their site currently (their cookies don't like my phone) but I definitely recall seeing a sandrail esque buggy in IA8.

I had a quick look on FW and they don't appear to have any buggies, just a few tanks and trukks.

I do love that Tauros model and think it'd be great after a bit of Orkification

It's such a simple shape you'd be better to knock one up out of plastic rod and plasticard, then you could fit the Ork in better.

Guess it was just for the artwork then. Shame. Ork buggies have always kinda sucked in terms of models.

My wife just surprised me with 3 of these models. Didn't even ask for them and didn't even know the model existed. I only model/paint Orks so they will be converted/looted. I see a few problems, the driver is a bit small and the stance for the gunner is a bit narrow for Ork legs. But nothing that can't be fixed. I am thinking of using my old metal buggy drivers, should be small enough to fit without to many problems. I have an extra grot bomber gunner from the fighta/bomma model that should fit well on the back. Also have an extra gunner from a trukk that might fit on the back, would be cool to put the whole turret ring from the trukk on the back.

Just some ideas I am kicking around. Going to go wash off the resin pieces right now.

Dimension of the Tauros (not assembled yet) : Length is 3 1/2 inches, width is approx 1 3/4 inches. Height is a bit more difficult without it assembled, but with the wheels and suspension on I would estimate it to be around 2 inches or so.

Really wouldnt hurt to build a bigger platform sticking off the back for the gunner ork to stand on.

Or to cut out half the innards of the cab to fit an ork driver.
