Hey all,

I'm hoping you might be able to help me out with a bit of a debacle. I'm putting together a Sisters detachment for my knights, but I cannot for the life of me work out a good color scheme. The problem is that I very much like the classic scheme of white, black, and red - but I desperately want to do something a bit different. I could certainly change up the amount and location of each color, but that seems pretty uninspired. So perhaps you can give me some inspiration.

My criteria is thus:
- It has to have white in it. White is a great color that works great with Sisters. They'll be based in a winter theme alongside my Knights, so I think the white will look doubly good in the snow.
- It definitely needs a 'color' in there somewhere. White and black and metallic are all good, but especially on a mostly white base, it's going to need something to make them pop. I always end up thinking about that rich blood red, but then I realize I'm right back where I started, on the standard white/black/red scheme. Maybe a rich Violet color?
-I'm not a big fan of gold. While it compliments white, black, and red excellently, it gives off a bit too much of a 'paladin' vibe for my taste. I really want my Sisters to look a bit grittier. After looking at some Protectorate of Menoth colors, from Warmachine (who share almost identical colors to Sisters), I'm intrigued by the bronze-ish color most of their metallic are painted with. I think the bronze might make a good contrast to the white and the snow, but I'm not convinced.

Any thoughts? My current thought, after typing this, is White primary, Violet trim/cloth, and Bronze metallic and highlights.

Blue/white/silver looks great.

My sisters are black armor and white coats/capes. I trim the coat lapels and interior with a couple of different shades in the purple/violet range. Looks ok to me. Can't supply a pic right now as I am at work. Also, Ephriel is right as blue/white/silver blend well together.

If you like the white black red scheme, vary it slightly by using off-shades of those colours, like bone grey and pink.

There's also a product somewhere, I think I got it from army painter maybe, that you can add to any colour to make it metallic. Its white in colour so does lighten whatever you're mixing it with, but that could open some more avenues for you.

Argent Shroud paint scheme is silver armor, with red robes it would contrast well against a winter basing scheme.

I'm not a fan of gold really, I paint the fluer and icons white. Seems less paladin-ish while still following the "purity" vibe.

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...

I'm working on a Sisters army atm with a white and blue scheme that I think works quite well:

I wanted something a little different too, but I quite liked the 'paladin' idea. My Sisters have white as the inside of their robes, with green as the 'colour'. Not sure they'll help you, but anyway.

Thanks for all the ideas, guys. I've been really busy the past few days and haven't been able to reply, but I really appreciate it. Also, just seeing some of the stuff that's been tried gives me some good insight on how it'll look. I can only get so much of an idea just picturing it in my head, haha.

I had also never considered mixing up the paint scheme in different squads, which is something I may do, seeing that I can't seem to settle on a damn color.
