Hi all, just finished painting and building a jobload of daemon engines for my chaos army, and would welcome your views on the finished articles.
First up is the slaaneshi defiler, built with the front legs from the soul grinder kit to make it look more like an artillery piece. I used the main battle cannon on another daemon engine (pics coming soon) so replaced it here with a predator's autocannon, with the casings from the dark vengeance ravenwing bikers.

Do you know what your sin is, Malcolm Reynolds?
Ah hell, I'm a fan of all seven.
But right now, I'm gonna have to go with wrath.

Second is this converted Brass Scorpion. Now, I suspect that I am late for the brass scorpion bandwagon. In fact, it may very well have already been sold and is now rusting on a scrapheap, but I like the model nonetheless. Counts as a defiler for non-apocalypse games and never fails to get blown up, despite being an absolute monster in close combat, easily outclassing the likes of carnifexes and ripping them to shreds (provided the scorpion charged them!)
I've only got the one picture of it, let me know if you want more. The tail is fully articulated and was a nightmare to attach, using the power scourge arm for the defiler and the claw arm from the soul grinder.

You should really focus on taking your picture than editing them with a photo editor. It's very hard to make them out.

Sorry about that, posting unedited pics here. However good cameras are hard to come by, or more accurately the money is. If you've got any advice on how to take good pictures with a powershot A720 IS canon camera, I'd be much obliged to hear it.

The models don't look too bad. What's your light set up like? Proper light is more important than just what camera you're using.

Also, the quote in your signature is wrong. It's "Hell, I'm a fan of all seven", not five.

Didn't notice that until now! My light is pretty poor - new energy efficient light bulbs are poor and they don't sell the old ones where I live any more. My final daemon engine, which I'm rather proud of, is a converted decimator daemon engine. I won't take credit for the oringinal idea, which was inspired by Krautscientist's magnificent Wargrinder, but I have made a few modifications and innovations of my own.

Great paint job. The bases are a little flat though. They need something.

Just forgot what I was going to say.

They look ok.... But that's really only because of the photo quality I bet if I could see the detail and shading work I would adore these models and pray to them each morning and eve!
