Subject: 4,000pts Dark Angels & Grey Knights versus Dark Eldar - Vengeance at the Tau Research Station
Last weekend we had the pleasure of playing at Warhammer World on the gorgeous 'Tau Research Station' feature board. The game was an absolute blast, with both sides attacking hard. As always, Warhammer World was great fun: amazing boards, some beautifully painted armies including the best Blood Angels army I've ever seen, and really friendly people. If you haven't been, get yourself there.

Glad you enjoyed the report. If you follow the link through to YouTube you can subscribe to the channel and see our other reports. We're not terribly productive - we finish a report about once every two months - but we hope to keep the quality level high.
I'm afraid I can't take credit for the terrain. The board is one of the feature tables at Warhammer World at GW headquarters in Nottingham. Its free for anyone to go and use, you just have to book it. Its a great place to visit, I really recommend it.

Thanks, much appreciated. We're currently working on an 8k tyranid force (including a titan) and a big extension to the grey knights, so looking forward to bringing you those at some point over the summer.

Really enjoy your batreps. Though I kind of prefer watching the turns, with the scale of your battles its much more efficient to do turn recaps. Glad to see DA having success!

Thanks Guys, really appreciate the positive feedback
It was great to see the Dark Angels perform more strongly in this one, though we had to ally in IK&GK and take a fairly weak Dark Eldar build to make it a fair match up. We're really hoping a new codex comes along soon and makes them stronger. In the meantime we're adding in some forgeworld (a fire raptor, a fellblade and a Deredeo) to give the DA some punch.

One question though:
Did the Plasma Devs near the Marine Base or the Devs in the big tower do anything during the game? Didn't appear that they did.
The missile launcher devastators that entered the research station spent two turns getting to the roof and then utterly failed to do anything from up there. They just kept rolling ones and losing out to jink saves. They did, however, look epic sitting up there with a commanding view of the whole battlefield.
The plasma devastators in the bunker did a bit better. From memory they took hull points off of two of the deepstriking raiders and killed some infantry. You would have expected more from such a tooled up unit in such an excellent position but thems the breaks in a dice game. The lascannon devastators and the two predators more than made up for any deficiencies, so it all averaged out.
Very glad you enjoyed the report!
