I'm noticing in photos on dakka that people are starting to buy more than just one Imperial knight; so what's your angle?

I own just the one 'Knight' (a 28mm scale Dreamforge Leviathan), but I can't deny that I have long contemplated my 'perfect Knight household', which would be 1 28mm Levi, 2 GW Knights, 2-3 15mm Dreamforge Mortis and a bunch of House Guard/Skitarii. I'd never be so cruel as to play it, but it would be quite the sight the behold.

My angel is I can get them pretty cheaply and quickly. If you get them on ebay you can get them for as little as 75-95$ - So thats an 1850 army for under 500 bucks! how else you gonna do that?

I bought two at discount and sold them painted for more money. I did okay.

Cause lets be honest its not worth $170 ever.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

I don’t own one, and have no desire to get any. They may be habit forming, I’d not know.

I have one, and if I didn't have a one year old daughter with another due any day, I'd probably have a full household.

I bought one and looted it to be my Gorka/Morkanaut. I doubt I'll be buying many more since there are so many other knight sized models I could still loot.

I'm conflicted with Knights. I bought one right when they came out because, let's face it, the kit is awesome. I haven't really put it to use, and from what I've seen Knights just don't look fun to play. One I suppose is okay, two and beyond things get really tedious.

So that leaves me realizing any Knights I buy would be purely for decoration purposes, and so I've contemplated selling the current one and upgrading to a FW one...but I might just resist and remember that I buy these models for playing a game!

Hands down the best model gw has ever made, from a painting point of view. I have one and will be getting a second, but that's it.

I'm in a similar boat. I love the model and I lavished the paint job on it. Even with one I don't use it that often because either I go crazy aggressive with it and it gets exploded....or I feel bad about fielding it since they are a little on the OP scale and my opponents are not always packing high end anti tank weapons.

Honestly, seeing all these awesome new knights just makes me wish that GW/FW would go rebuild Epic. They have the technology- the capability to make the best 15mm scale game.

I really like the power fist conversions people do:
Spoiler:
I bought only one and will have magnets in for both versions.
Debating on going for the Mechanicus look or tie-in more with my Black Templar.
I somehow just cannot see the new Skitarii taking the field without them.
Now no saying: "buy another and the decision is easy"...

That's a wicked conversion! Is the fist from FW or scratchbuilt?

This thread needs more pictures of Knights.

I only say that as I don't own one but thoroughly enjoy looking at them, especially multiples.

Here's a pic of my looted knight. Probably the only one I'll have for a while, as I'd rather loot other models than the same one over and over again.

He's called Born to be Waaagh!, because he was looted before he ever saw battle as an imperial warmachine. The world being besieged by my greenskins was to receive reinforcements in the form of some knight titans. The shipment was intercepted by some eager goffs, who, upon seeing the stompiness of the knight decided to keep it to themselves. It sees use as a Gorka/Morkanaut these days.

It is a home brew job.
They typically chop the actual chain sword part off and keep the rest (motors and elbow).

I've got 4, and will eventually get a castigator as well so I can field a command lance as I play Battletech in Games Workshop stores.

To be fair though, I only got them to play in a cheese your cheesiest cheese tournament and needed to build a 2k army in 3 days, so 4 knights and stormwing it was, and that's about the only time I've fielded them. They don't come out for friendly games.

The Mailed Fist of House Steiner rides to war. Now if only I could figure out how to get those jump jets working...

I've been able to resist getting more then One. The one I have is magnetized. I've not really played it, but I will say that they do a good job chopping up Riptides..

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

I have 2, one paladin and one errant because the guy I was going to buy 1 from gave me a very nice deal if I bought both but I try to limit myself to only using 1 at a time.

Runnin up on ya.

*raises hand* I own 7; two errants, a paladin and one of each of the forgeworld knights except the 30k one. I just love big, stompy robots and knights are like pokemon, I have to have them all.

I own a dreamforge leviathan too.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

The Knights do look very interesting, and they compliment so many imperium armies nicely and bring a fair amount of power for their points while still being pretty easy to kill.
