I see you’re enjoying the new UM sprue. I’m having fun with it myself, working up a pair of captains, one counts-as Sicarius. Lots of cool bits to choose from

I like your guy, the one thing is his pose seems a little off. His swords and head/body are pointing in different directions. He might just be glancing over and yelling orders while he duels someone, but it’s hard to get a sense of what’s up with the helmet.

Did you miss the skull on the hemet? You also might want to tidy up the base a little, even if it’s just a black coat, or a rim color.

Solid work overall.

The only thing that bugs me is that the cloak and pteruges are blowing in opposite directions. Other than that, love it.

the pose reminds me of someone doing the Monkey dance that Johny Bravo did.

I think this is a great base paint job! could use a bit of cleaning up here and there but the biggest thing i would suggest is to use some shades and then go back for some highlighting. the cape will be amazing after the shade, just don't go over board on the shades! turn a great model into a emo (all dark and sad) marine

Just pretend he's spinning counter-clockwise.

How to paint Skeletons the way I do if that's something you'd fancy trying.

Not bad! I feel you should do more on the cloak though. Seems like a big space to show your creativity there=)

Nice work, though - purely intended as constructive criticism - if you had the head facing in the opposite direction to the swords (looking over his right shoulder) it'd lend more to the twisting motion that you feel from the direction of the Cape and loin cloth (or pteruges for the smarty pants's's's's that know what they're called )

If the cape and loin cloth were in the same direction, I'd be inclined to have him looking in the same direction as the swords, just to give him more of an "in the action" pose.

I echo bluedorian's sentiments though, an edge trim pattern on the cloak will really take him up a notch
