Well hello there Dakka, It's been a while... I'm sure we are all familiar with the "Hobby ADD" and having various "Era's" In your gaming group. Well right now my group is getting all nostalgic to 4 years ago, when we had a great Mordheim campaign. So I thought I'd jump start that again. On this little blog I will show you both the making of my warband, and ( most presently ) The making of the modular table I am building.... Lets begin...

During that campaign 4 years ago, back before I knew what I was doing, the warband I chose was Reikland, and I destroyed with them. It was great but for this campaign I want it to be more friendly, and I just want to try something new... so I chose Kislev. For no other reason than the fact that they can get a bear.... because that is awesome. I wrote up my list and got to scouring the interwebs to find suitable models. You may recognize some of the models in the designs you'll see because these drawings are of my brainstorming conversions / paint colors of preexhisting models... check em out.

Now the more exciting part (to me at least) The table!
I just started work on it so updates will be coming, but the general idea is that the style is going to be very similar to Laketown as seen in Middle Earth, so docks, wooden buildings, ect ect. For my 3'x3' table I will be building 2 18"x18" large tiles ( the docks, and the governors mansion ), and 8 9"x9" smaller tiles, that way it is easier to store and most importantly is modular. Like I said just today I bought the supplies so I'm going to start work now, but here are some brainstorming ideas so you get an idea...

Thanks! Sorry to make you wait for so long. Work keeps me pretty busy. However I got a lot of work done today and thought id post it up...
Still sanding then touch ups on the first practice house. Then I gotta detail it ( nets, barrels, ect ) but I want to get the main dock bases on everything done done first so I can get the water out of the way first...

Plus a little preview of another game I'll be using this for... My concept idea for a norse themed Necromancer for an age of sigmar army.
