Greetings!
Continuing on my homebrew rules for Skitarii units. Here is a proposed character which should belong in a
HQ slot but for the Skitarii that doesn't exist. So the second best option is the elite slot.
These are all experimental rules so please do give feedback if you think its too powerful/weak. The model is from Warmachine -Ghordson Avalancher- and thus will never be able to set foot in a games workshop branch.
ALPHONSE (100 POINTS) Alphonse is a tough, loud and clunky machine built for destruction. Alphonse was once a tech priest on Mars recreating machines of war from
STC templates foraged from distant planets. His curiosity got the better of him when he uploaded his consciousness into the war machine he is now. Trapped and unable to return to his body, his Magos shipped him off into the front lines to hide him from the other tech priests. Alphonse held the secret to immortality that all in the Adeptus Mechanicus yearned for.
Alphonse bears the intimidating Volkite Mortar capable of reducing whole platoons into ash. Also armed with its mighty suppression shield, it allows Alphonse to survive the harshest of battlefields.
Alphonse is an Elite choice for an Adeptus Mechanicus Army List.

Suppression shield In the movement phase Alphonse can choose to bunker down with his shield to survive any ranged onslaught. As long as Alphonse doesn’t move in the movement phase, shooting phase and assualt phase he gains a 2+ armour save and a 3+ invulnerable save against ranged attacks. If Alphonse is charged while he has bunker-ed down he may use his improved save for the first round of combat only.
For every successful saving throw by Alphonse in close combat, the shield will discharge causing a S4 Haywire hit to all units within 6”. For clarification, this includes your units and the opponent's units.
Deflagrate Please see “Codex Adeptus Mechanicus: Cult Mechanicus. Page 75”.
Thanks for reading!
If you know why I have named him Alphonse, feel good about yourself for being an anime fan.
