Preemptive wowing as I await proper pics. Just from that one shot, you seem to have achieved a composition that not only frames every model but also makes them more than the sum of their parts, a snapshot of everything grim and dark about 40k! The washed out grey palette, the muted metallics, the Magos behind them standing out despite being mostly black/dark grey... awesome!

Cheer Para - really really happy with this one. feth knows though they'll be a nightmare to transport if ever need to. meh - anothr days problems!! for now im chuffed and slightly creeped out by them!

Very nice. As Para says, the layout of where they all fit/composition works very well. I do recommend that people click for the bigger image though - in the smaller one on this page there is an element of everything blending together.

They are truly stunning! Amazing work. Together like that they are creepy, grim and definitely awe inspiring.

This is real praise bud, we always mean what we say, but so often we have to say AWESOME on Dakka, going to have to come up with some new words I think!

The Ruststalkers are really tidy - built them immediately even though they're not gonna get painted for a while yet. Viscous looking buggers - they'll be a very welcome addition to the convocation!

That Magos and Scyllax may be the best of the Mechanicus stuff yet, Jan! I still think overall I like the Knight the best. Any word back yet on whether the GW people will put it in White Dwarf?

lol we'll see. I'm defintely going to use Nerdy's method for the focusing lenses (or whatever they are) inside the mortar. I'll paint him in a few sub-assembles I think, but we'll see.....

Hobby. Don't really have anyone/where to play where I live over here. There is a flgs in Seoul which has a bunch of tables but it's a bit far away adn I don't know anyone over here who does
It's a lovely model - defintely needing pins though esp on the waist to body join. Can't wait to start painting it next month or so. you can include a thanatar in a force if you use the FW Taghmata book. Winters SEO on youtube posts loads of batreps using a skit force with allied taghmata. Makes for a awesome force - mixing skit/cult with the mechanicum stuff from FW

You think SK would be a hub for table top gaming, too bad you don't haven anyone to play with otherwise you could build a table at your place and we could all see how amazing you could make terrain

Tabletop gaming isn't a big thing over here at all. Small following fwics. I've been thinking about making some terrain but storage and use have kinda stopped me. Mind you, I do have a few usuable bits now due to the dios I make! Would like to make some Inq28/'munda stuff at some point for sure though

Ohohohmahgad I cannot wait to see that mortar. Will you do something similar to a blackened engine effect on it? WILL IT BE MARBLE!?
