I have basically stopped reading the AoS threads because the Mods refuse to do their fething job in managing the mass anti-AoS spam.

There is some serious passive-aggressive gak going down here, and it makes the AoS sections pretty much fething worthless.

It would be nice if someone would actually put an end to the AoS bashing. Or at least limit to "I hate AoS" and "why AoS sux" threads. As opposed to current practice of letting the same toolbags post the same repetitive gak in every single fething AoS thread.

People should be able to post their opinions, positive or negative, where it is appropriate.

If people are posting in a way that actually violates the forums rules, then yes, that should be dealt with. But that's it.

I just want to say your one post right here talking about tool bags etc is more against the rules than anything I have seen from those that dislike the game.

The pro crowd has actually been more passive aggressive than anyone else.

I have also not seen a "I hate AOS" thread in a while either.

The best way we can all deal with this is to just ignore it. Some people just like to be negative for negativity's sake, and whenever you respond to these people you're just going to get caught up in a quote tree of despair where they're the only ones having fun.

Talks about passive aggressive whilst swearing(and swearing at the mods), and quotes a pro aos post referring to anti aos posters as 'a gakshow of whining man children'. Also refers to those with alternative opinions as 'toolbars'. Uh huh.

Also demands an echo chamber of sycophantic pro aos chat.

I can only recall a single incidence of mod staff on any forum I've been on step in to correct passive aggression though, and even that was a longstanding feud between two guys lasting years. It's always a case of waiting for the seething hostility to erupt into blunt insults.

Anyway, this is a situation where huge numbers of people are going to be understandably outraged well above and beyond the usual background negativity of the 40k/Fantasy online community, and when one side is on the warpath the other is going to go defensive then justify their own reasons to be hostile. Basic tribalistic human psychology in action.

Asking an authority to take sides is against what their job even is, just let them snipe out the cases where either side crosses a line.

Telling people what opinions they are allowed to have in any given discussion is not our job.


If you're tired of seeing opinions that differ from your own, maybe your own blog would be preferable to a forum.
