This was a VERY quick paint job. Maybe 45min from start to finish. I'll be posting a full rundown/tutorial on my blog in a week or so. The slime is done using glow in the dark fabric paints.

Looks just fine for such a quick job on a big guy like that, and using glow in the dark paint on the base may be borderline genius. Is the OSL on the Dred done in glowy paint too?

The OSL on the Dred is a 10 second dry brush of Moot Green. Automatically Appended Next Post: cman64 wrote:Looks great! Shout-out to the Banner of the lost 13th on FB

Go to an arts and crafts shop like Michaels or AC Moore in the US and buy bright or glow in the dark fabric 'puffy paint'. It's basically like colored PVA glue. The kind I bought has a nice little applicator right on the tube. You just apply green, then yellow and finally white. I used a toothpick to swirl it a little. Stuff does take forever to dry, but looks great when dry. It does shrink up quit a bit, but is a cool effect. You have to dry brush Moot Green onto the areas you think would see a reflection.

I was really hoping it was some glow in the dark paint dry brushed on, but still a great idea using it for the slime.

Very nice. My only problem with it is that the base is more eye catching that the model, still an excellent piece though.

Have you ever seen an absolutely amazingly painted model where the painter just left the base as black plastic? When I look at that, I think "shame he didn't finish the model". Well, that works the other way too! When a lot of people see an average model... and let's face it, I painted this in 45 min... with a better than average base they tend to think "man, look at that base... that model looks great". It also really ties the army together on the battlefield. Here's another example of quickly painted models I did with a similar base. Without the bases, the models pretty well look like crap. With the bases, they look better than MOST of what you'll see on the table. First without paint on the base, then with and then showing how it ties the army together.
