So.. I decided to stop posting my Necrons on my Lamenters Blog and follow the trend and create it's own space. Most of the stuff you will see is previous work but at least it will not confuse folks viewing my Lamenters only to find it's intermixed with Necrons. It will also be nice to have all the Necron work in one place.

So I only got into Necrons due to wanting to try a more competitive army for Adepticon. Having played Marines forever and finding the codex's under powered. Having enough of The Wardens of the Maelstrom to field two teams we opted to go Xenos and create the Ancients of the Maelstrom.

I’ll add the backstory later, but for now I’ll focus on the blog construction so I can get most of my initial thoughts organized.

Overall shots…
This is the start. Bought a lot of kits and start to mass build, and prime. I started with units I knew were needed as opposed to the wanted. I also had to keep in mind what units I’ll need for Adepticon ( 2014). There are a lot of WIP shot but I not going to fill this blog up with them. You can see all of of the pics In my Necron gallery. Most of these are camera phone shots so the quality is not all crisp and clean.

I’ve got a lot more figure without pictures, Warriors, Praetorians ect. I’ll have to take some and post.
Here is some pic’s of some group shots.
2014 Adepticon …

2104 Display board

Well that’s the lot… I’ll replace the camera pics with actual in focus shots as updated.
In the meantime I have still more to do . Praetorians, Lynchguard, More warriors, an additional Monolith, 3 More wraiths, 6 more tomb blades and about as many or more destroyers.
Thanks for looking.

Mostly, on my phone.

Bit overwhelmed to be honest. Amazing sight.

I love your nightbringer... think it's the best I've ever seen. The transcendent C'tan is also exemplary. Fantastic stuff.

Thanks y'all.

I've managed to finish the Vault and worked last night on getting some actual camera pictures. Played again with my camera and set up. Got the light permanently mounted so that should speed up the process. Also took some time to play with the camera features, finding out my camera has alot more functions than I've been using. I need to take a course.

A little break from Necrons to finish Canis ( SW ) for YB. and then I really need to clean my shop!.

As for Crons, Next up will be to finish the 8 Destroyers, 2nd Monolith and mass Warrior additions.

At some point I'll get a current Army picture and point total.

Ah that destroyer lord, looks pretty darn awesome, what did you use for the head? I can't seem to place it.

Popping in so I can keep track of your progress...

The vault in particular really caught my eye. Never sen one built/painted up outsideof the stock kit, and I gotta say I like how yours came out better. That little touch of white is just what the dark scheme needs. Love it

Thanks Ramos. Your a tough act to live up too! A bit too powerful to play in a normal game, but the Ctan for sure.

Just got a Necon Bomber. At the point cost I'm not sure I'll use it much but for bigger games it'll be nice to have the S10 AP1 5in blast. Soaking in suds at the moment, then some sight GS. Excited to do something unique.

Neat. I haven't seen that one before, either. Very Trilobite looking.

Looks great in your black and white, SL!

I think I like it better without the extra wings. Indeed, very trilobite looking.

Not on there yet.. Stlll thinking about how to paint the extensions. Thinking white for the frame and the rest black. Thoughts?

That would work. I think doing the points where they attach and the nubs (or whatever they are) in the energy green color.

Here is where I ended up after a quick hr of painting.

I'll go back over the green connections with a green drybrush to bring out the edges. Then back to filling lines on the aircraft body.
