Hi all,

I recently got back into the hobby and decided to go for a GK army. My painting isn't amazing, so I'm hoping to get some tips in their semi-finished state that I can work on to make them a bit better

I went with an alternative scheme because I was never really a fan of the silver. Just a bit different I guess!

Power weapons are yet to be finished, so any suggestions on colours would be appreciated

Have also thrown in a progress pic of my NDK that I butchered with an old terminator hull. I've got a few gaps to fill, but think it looks a boot more 'mech' than the standard model.

Any C&C welcome Cheers for looking!

Really like what you've done with the ndk. Feel it needs something on the top of the overall Chasis though. Just to give a bit more balance. Dreadnaught part works great though

Looks great, why not go for a blue wash over a white base for your pw

Hi guys,

Just to bring this one back with a bit of an update, I've made some progress on actually painting my first NDK, but there's still a lot more detail work to go. Just have been a bit busy recently!.

I've also done a bit more work on my second NDK and managed a slightly different conversion, with the help of Moogy on here.

I started by trimming the top part of the leg joint, allowing me to reposition it. As there's no pilot being used, you don't have to worry about lining up the foot plates etc.

Once that was done, I used the dreadnaught sarcophagus/torso as a front for the model. Due to some pretty poor trimming, I had to improvise with what I had to hand. This happened to be Polyfilla. Yes, Polyfilla.

This is where we started out:

After a horrific amount of sanding/filling, I ended up with this:

It's pretty rough still, so I ended up using a few more dread and GK bits to try and cover the worst bits:

At this point, it didn't look too bad, so I threw some primer on it:

The section above the sarcophocas is still pretty rough, so I'm trying to work on some kind of trim/filler to pretty it up a bit. I'll post more once I have any progress.

Thanks for looking!

Those NDK's are lookign great man! I really dig the dreadnought front-looks a lot tougher than the standard haha

I like the pose too, they look intimdating and agressive!
