Hey look, a thread to list those of your units that got named for something they do on the TT

Mine are:

-Emperor's Champion, "Galahad Witchslayer". So named after solo'ing 4 Librarians out of a Conclave.

-A particular unit of Scouts, "Taliban Scousers". Scouts with CCW > Scousers. They regularly to rush in and stick meltabombs and krak grenades to vehicles, and sometimes die in the explosion > Taliban.

My Ultramarines Praetor. He killed two Castellax, their babysitter and Perturabo. Admittedly he was focused on Vulkan but it was the Praetor and his retinue that did him in.

His name is Dominician.

A single FW Shas'ui - he managed to gun-butt a Lord Commissar in the face and win combat. I've called him Tau McLane

**Frozocrone**

Had a Warbiker Nob w/ PK and BP take out a whole squad of Tacticals that had butchered his squad from overwatch and the first round of combat.

His name is Facebursta. Facebursta killing skills were the best killing skills in all the land. Alas, the same could not be said of his driving skills and while showing off to the rest of the boyz by doing wheelies, he lost control and crashed into a ruined wall, painting the walls in a glorious crimson.

Lucky the Scout Sniper has never died in a single battle despite being the last man standing on many, many occasions.

I had a Terminator Sergeant eat 100+ pulse rifle shots then 30 plasma shots and 5 fusion blasters.

Endurance plus Iron hands tactics equals cheese

I have a Minotaur artillery tank named "Godslayer" for inflicting the final blow on a Manta. Do not mess with my Minotaur, unless you want to join the foul xenos in hell.

Geoffrey the Drunkard Ironclad for never hitting a damn thing, but when he does he wrecks face.

Fisty the Legion Centurion for shooting down Fulgrim behind DT and then fisting him in the face for great justice.

**Vache Glace**

Around the beginning of 5th my plague marine squad assaulted a warlord Titan. Only the champion survived the stomp and he proceeded to take the arm off the Titan (Strength D).

**War Kitten**

I have a Leman Russ Battle Tank that I've nicknamed "Thumper." Every time he fires his main cannon he never misses, even if the rest of his guns manage to never hit.

**Vankraken**

My Fire Warrior passed a leadership 4 check to stay locked in combat then survived 1v1 against an Imperial Knight to deliver the final EMP grenade which destroyed the Knight. He then survived the resulting explosion from the dying Knight due to the ruins between him and the scattered blast.

He is currently in my project queue to be upgraded to a Fire Blade and provided with a name fitting for a knight destroyer. Sub Commander Dauntless being the front runner for names.

New one,

Devastator Marine fires a Multi Melta at close range to a Land Raider. His whole squad dies to the inevitable explosion except him, so he bagged himself a Sternguard promotion, I quite literally stripped him of paint/glue and kitbashed him into a Sternguard Sarge. I also created a new Melta bloke from the old parts with a corvus helm. He is armed with a Combi Melta and even has his old Devvie Squad name (Squad Thardian) inscribed on said Combi-Melta.

Edit: Sternguards name is 'Vertuido'

He doesn't have base decoration yet, but that's a very good suggestion!

I'm debating naming my Dark Angels Dreadnought (with TL Lascannon and Power Fist/Storm Bolter) after Leeroy Jenkins because I always seem to get him into stupid fights that he shouldn't be in (and he dies spectacularly).

Next time I use him, if I charge him into anything I might just shout "Leeeeeerooooooyy Jeeeeeenkiiiiiiins!" as I do so.

Edit: And when he inevitably dies, I'll say "At least I have chicken."

I have two of my Dark Angel Sergeants named.

First I have Brother Sergeant Cassiel, named after the arch angel of tears and solitude. His squad got to shot to pieces leaving him holding objective 3 on his own. Got charged by 8 chaos space marines, he held for three full turns.

Next i have Brother Sergeant Colin, Roller of 1's. His immense ineptitude resulted in his squad getting eaten by Tervigon. It munched 3 marines a turn until Colin was on his own. It was only then he managed to hit it with his power sword. Failed to wound and promptly got eaten!
