Here is my first 30k army. Please let me know what you think.

Aww man, I am gushing over this beautiful army!! So many gorgeous models in a tight, consistent theme (I'm a major sucker for things matching!). You've absolutely nailed this, bravo.

If I've got to nitpick something, it'll be the white turrets on the two main tanks (sorry, I don't know my Imperium models!). It might just be the lighting, but in the third pic the weathering on the white plating on the two snub-nose tanks looks a lot more pronounced than on the tank gun in the middle.

Nice, crisp job. Can I ask though - something I've seen on numerous Ultramarine posts is a large increase in the use of white on panels/vehicles etc.

Is that a Horus Heresy thing? It doesn't fit much with any fluff for the Ultramarines that I'm aware, but I see it a lot.

So, to the white. I agree it can be a tad overpowering in the pics. The actual models aren't as bright. I didn't use white, I used an off color. Still GW paint, just can't recall off the top of my head. I chose the white because it matches the chapter symbol. I've see some others painted with white accents so I figured why not. It looks cool.

How did you do the blue? I see a mix of drybrushing and highlighting?

Dry brushing followed by wash applied to the recesses. I guess it's a reverse highlight. Instead of a brighter color on the edges I used Nuln Oil (or Badab Black) in the recesses.

They look great I was wonder what paint were you using for the gold on the shoulder pads?

Looks great! The one thing that's off is the statue. It's of a mark that wasn't prevalent, if even around, in the heresy to my knowledge.
