Hey guys,
I am new at Dakkadakka. My intension is to build some wargaming stuff, share it with the world and improve my english.
So here is my first project. My plan was to reconstruct this kind of WH40k artillery bunker.
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_qMbnhj-ij8/UqNCMmiW3lI/AAAAAAAAbpQ/Rf9E-cqgIh8/s400/macrocannon.PNG
In the first step I built the basement. Therefore I used hot glue and cardboard. I embellish the edges with some polystyrene and stripes of paperboard.
For the artillery I combine different tubes. For this I dismantle and cut a few pens. I also build the gun suspension with hot glue and Cardborard.
From a milk shake cover I create the bunker vault.
At least I added some details also consisting of carton.
I will paint it in a cold and frozen look during the next days. I have already stated that I will build cool wargaming stuff but that it is for today…

Ok, here is my next try with bigger pics.
I continued with crafting. First I stick sand on the bases.
Next I mixed black color, glue, water and sand to get the primer for the building. I used a spray can for the rest. I dry brush the building in different grey skales and paint the metal parts in shades from brown to orange. At least I used white color to get a frozen appearence. That is the result.
I also built a observation bunker. The approach is similar to the one described here.
...and that`s it. I hope you like it.

Hey.
Thanks for all the encouragement. It is a little motivation for me to do and share following projects.
My girlfriend bought some shoes and all I got was a lousy shoebox. But, this shoe box was made of a carton that looks like corrugated iron. As a result I got the idea to build some barracks.
At first I do some framework with cardboard. I also use wallpaper with a texture. It appears like a paved floor.
Next, I cut some little corrugated iron sheet and glue them on the frame. I also treat an oven to this building. The oven consists of carton-roll, more cartons and a straw.
At least I add the rest of the sheets that it looks bombed.
I made a second building in this way, but I forgot to made pics…
For painting I used the same colors and procedure as before.
It is not dry, so I have to wait with some details. So long...
Bye

Thanks a lot.
I also needed some trials and many errors to reach such results .
Today I build a wrecked Truck. Therefore I misused a cheap Toy and a peanut can. The rest is cardboard and trash.

Hello!
looks like you saved up two wheels here^^...
Yes, that is correct. A while ago I built these two trucks.
I also modifed toy trucks. The original trucks were made of low quality injection molding. The original toy truck for the sunken tanker has a better chassis. I used the chassis for a Orc pickup .
The remaining weels, driver cab and some other stuff were mixed for the tanker.
And of course I added some sand and colour.

That is all pretty great. I can't decide if I prefer the barracks or the trucks. How do you get the brown colour of the trucks?

Hello out there!
For the rusty parts I use different brown coatings. I always start with a dark tone and use lighter tones later. At least I use a little bit white for the frozen look. A simple dry brush normally is enough for a nice result. For plain surfaces I work with a small sponge to dab the brown coatings. And that’s it.
So here is my next little project. I build a HQ-Bunker.
I also use cardboard and the rest of an insulation plate (the violet stuff). To demonstrate that the bunker is for HQ-Units I tinker some aerials and radar things for the roof.
I also build a radar antenna with a small wire grid.
I made a mistake with the size and I realize that it will be too large for the bunker roof. I add an Ork to show how “small” it really is.
So I am going to build an own tower for this radar antenna. But that´s it for today…

Thank you.
As announced, here is the radar tower. I used the wire grid to built a Plattform too. I think it looks very appropriate.

Salute!
Thanks, I always do my best
Today I painted the HQ-Bunker and the radar rower. For my board I will ensure a uniform look of all buildings and terrains.
So I used the same colors and painting techniques as I described before.
I hope you like it.
Cheers!
