ENDS DECEMBER 4th Every Copy of Rogue Stars bought from us before release comes with a free metal figure of The Rogue. The authors' notes on his Rogue Star game:Character-driven fire-fights in a far future setting. Characters combine huge fire-power with the mobility of futuristic ninja. The protagonists are Pirates, Cyborgs, Star Cops, Bounty Hunters, Merchants, Mercenaries, Miners, Militias, Dark Cultists, Psionic Knights. A point system lets you stat up any human, alien, or robot.Small table (3x3’) 4-6 figures per player. Minimal book-keeping is conducted by placing tokens on the characters’ profiles. The game uses an unusual activation system to represent the chaos of combat. In addition to the characters’ distinctive Traits and equipment, squads have unique Themes (what they are and what motivates them) and Tactical Disciplines (how they fight). Figures are highly mobile: jump-packs, flight packs, personal teleportation devices and even psionic jumps all play a role. No coherence distance between figures is enforced. There is no facing: figures can move, spot targets and fire in a 360° radius.

Any word on when the two deals are going up for sale? They're listed as "Out of Stock" right now.
Writer of A Song of Blades and Heroes. Very well written game by all accounts although I have never played it, makes me hope that this will have some strong campaign or even RPG-lite elements.
Have to say the miniatures look absolutely fab, very characterful.
The Copplestone minis are a good fit size-wise with GW parts, for reference. I have used their five "Bareheaded Troopers" as Genestealer Cultists, with head swaps and a bit of milliput.
I think they look fine beside the other Cultists -- apologies for WIP paint jobs (these have had a black undercoat, blue zenithal spray, and then some painting and washes on the flesh, but are by no means complete).
Andrea writes, illustrates, owns, and publishes for Ganesha Games. Most notable are Song of Blades and Heroes and Mutants and Death Ray Guns.
Pretty much every game Andrea writes is fun, rules lite, inexpensive, and uses similar d6 based mechanics.
Rogue Stars is a departure, exanding the D6 mechanic into using a D20 for a wider range of results. From what I've read of the rules, previewed in the video, it looks like Andrea played Frostgrave and incorporated mechanics from it into the design.
I'm a fan of both Frostgrave and Mutants and Deathray Guns, and new activation system previewed, so I'm in.
I paused the video to read all the rules close ups. It seems to build on a combination of Song of Blades and Heroes and Frostgrave, but with a much more dynamic activation system.
Roll up to 3 D20, for every success you get an action with that model. For every failure, the opponent gets to attempt a reaction with that D20 that occurs before your action.
Every successful action you add a stress marker, making it harder to accomplish additional actions with the same model, and easier or your opponent to steal the initiative.
Basically your target numbers go up for each stress marker, and his target number to steal the iniatiative goes down for each stress marker you have.
Your turn ends when the opponent steals the initiative, which is one of the reactions they can attempt, or you pass. Passing removes all stress markers on your models.
It's simple, but makes for an incredibly dynamic and different flow of game play.

Sounds like Advanced Song of Blades and Heroes. That incorporated dynamic reactions along the same lines. No stress markers though.
I am very much looking forward to this. ASoBH was a significant improvement on an already fantastic game. I hope this will be better still, as well as giving me some SF action that I've craved of late since 40K got so complex.

Don't expect the later two. Song of Blade and Heroes IS excellent, but only has the most rudimentary notion of campaign or progression. Andrea, the writer has also said that Rogue Stars has even less of a RPG/Campaign aspect than Frostgrave, instead focusing on a more unique character creator up front.
the new release is very nice. unfortunately through Brigrade you have to pay shipping again for the additional add on. I don't really like that but I can't find a way around it.

I just added on the Rogue2 gallery of models onto my order. Except it doesn't add the order on. It treats it as a separate order. Not only that, you pay postage in full again.
So much for being able to add things on as they are announced. I didn't see these the first time I ordered.
:-(
Currently most played: Silent Death, Mars Code Aurora, Battletech, Warcrow and Infinity.

I just placed my order for the extra figures. The email I received from Brigade (US distributor) seemed to indicate they would combine the shipment.

Just send a message through the "contact" system on Brigade website.
