Hi everyone !
So i bought the starters kit with the new death guards models, because well they look awesome. But I would like some feedback on the armor. I never painted nurgley stuff so I am still finding my way between hightlighting and keeping things grimey and dirty. Hence here are some images for some feedback Note: i only highlighted the armor as of yet, still need to do the rest.

gak, those new models do look cool. It looks nice, but also like the armor's genuinely snotpuke green. The DG guys used to be, what, white and brass? You could try going for the original colors, dirtied up with messy colors and gross washes. It's kind of what I've done, to limited effect.

I think he looks great. I am not up on the original DG fluff, but this guy looks like nurgle. I see your dilemma with the highlighting too much. He has stay slimy etc. Anyway, looking good as he is for me. I suspect a highlight and then several washes to nurgle him up might work as well. Keep sharing! As an old school Nurgle guy, I keep thinking about running them again...

Looking good so far. If it were me I'd drown it in washes and call it a day. You might be going for something better, in which case maybe some selective shading around the more mutated parts of each model, maybe some browns in there to show some ooze.

I would make the eyes red as focal point of the model.
Some Typhus Corrosion to get it more grim&gritty.
And of course doing something with he base with a strong contrast to the green.
Maybe picking out the links on his dangly crotch-protection with boltgun, that area looks a bit boring.

Looks really nice! Personally I'd add a bit of orange-brown to the edges of the armour as a rusty effect. Good luck with the rest of them!

If he weren't Death Guard I'd say he's done to TT Character level. Yeah, you could push him farther but why bother for a line grunt? So I say it's time to bust out the filth method(s) of your choice and dirty him up!

Looks pretty good. I'd make the eyes more vivid and add some rust, seeping ooze, etc.

ok so here is a update after looking at the feedback. Added typhus corrosion to the metal and oxide to some of the holes in the armor. Thinning down some dryad back for some small seepage and filling different damaged parts of the armor with it. Hope you guys enjoy
Sadly the eyes are better looking in real life, i used spiritstone red over stormhost silver. The picture does not really show it.

The rust that you've added there looks great, still think a bit of rust added to the edges of the armour and the trim would really Nurglefy it up more.
Great work so far!
