Hello, Folks! I'm working on setting up my "Primaris" Alpha Legion, and figured I'd post some photos on here to keep things updated will I truck along on these things. Comments, critique and questions are always welcome.

We have my cultists first. Going for a very basic, very simple, "dusty forgeworld" look for them. The contrast of the red works best with the Alpha Legion, so I found it a convenient excuse to keep things simple for the Cultists. They're not even close to done, but they are at a presentable standard for a tournament if/when necessary.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

I did my Obliterators as well, converting these from Primaris Aggressors.

Used Admech Torsion Cannons to convey Fleshmetal gauntlets.

Then here's a few group photos of things together, as well as my WIP Arkos, Exalted Champion, and a Kharybdis that makes me want to die.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Up next is 40 Noise Marines. I'll be making them from Hellblasters, using the heavy weapon variants.

Should have them a little after next week, and I'm excited to get those out next. This color scheme has been incredibly gratifying to paint.

Nottingham (yay!)

I love your transitions, the blending looks like two tone paint!

With regard to the question asked elsewhere of visually identifying unit types - I honestly don’t think it’ll be an issue, their distinctive weaponry should be enough visual reminder for opponents who’ve been told what’s what. One thing that comes to mind - perhaps Marks might need some sort of signifier? Perhaps an extra transition into violet, red, etc?

As I finish them, I'll likely end up painting the bases for each squad slightly differently (Doombull Brown, Baneblade Brown) for the squads, so they're immediately identifiable. My goal is to make every marine look as identical as possible, as to keep with the "Alpha" theme.

Luckily, we have tons of room on bases to identify them!

Blessings from the Boss!

I'm hoping to go the "Shroud of Night" style with them once I hammer out the details. Silver and Gold, nice and regal.
