Hello there!

Thought I would start a blog of my efforts to actually finish painting some 40k models. So i'm doing this for two reasons:

1) Incentive to actually finish a project
2) Valuable feedback

Currently working on this fellow. Early stages Bad Moon Kommando Nob and Kill Team leader. Small conversion of a regular nob with a greenstuff beret.

Couple of questions. What colour should I do the beret? I was thinking burgundy. And also can't decide what colour to base the boyz with.

Thanks.

Looking good! When it comes to colors, with orks your main ones will be the armor and the skin, so in your case it will be yellow and green. So if you want to go full painting theory, burgundy would definitely work (mix of red and purple).

However, there is a second option (if you don't count the infinite option of do what you want), with Kommando's and berets and the like, with them accenting the unit as a whole (eg bright red-- orks don't hide do th-BLAM).

Hope that helps!

Thanks. Went with a dark red colour in the end and think it works well with the yellow and green.

Also added a bit of rust to the power claw.

Need to stop getting distracted and finish the base colours next!

I just have to say, I like the hat.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Great beret. Good to.see you went with red given that you're uk based. Green would only have been acceptable for US peeps

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
