Hey all, first post and all that.
Used to be a member here a long time ago, back when I still had hair, been away from the hobby for a while and it's good to be back!
Love some feedback on these terrain pieces I just finished.
I'm not actually planning on using them myself so they're actually going up on ebay if anybody's interested!
I'll post a link to my ebay accout over in the proper place.
Cheers! Automatically Appended Next Post: Link to the Swap Shop Thread with the ebay listings.

Nice one, really appreciate the comment! You're totally right, I was amazed at how green they came out. I carved the rocks out by hand, so they have a less than natural look to them also.
That, coupled with the bright green, does give them quite a stylized rather than realistic look, but yeah overall I'm happy.

Thanks so much man. Yeap, expanding foam and cavity wall filler mainly.
I did my best to make them as bulletproof as I could, I think I did a pretty good job. They’ve all had multiple coats of sealant and they feel really solid.
The trees are purposefully made quite short and close to the rocks to minimize inadvertently catching/knocking them during use in games. The grass has two coats on the edges where they get picked up and handled.
The clump foliage on the tree branches is probably the most delicate part, but I gave those areas special attention during sealing and they feel nice and tough. Everything should stay where I’ve put it but, if small pieces did come off, a bit of pva glue would soon have them back where they belong.
With reasonable care when in use, they should be good for many, many games.
Here's a pic of what they look like underneath all the flock and a shot of the underside of the bases. They all have a thin layer of felt which does create a small gap between them and the table top, but it gives them a really nice finnished, professional feel. I thought it was worth the small sacrifice.

Nice one brother. It's my pleasure, I've got to talk to someone about it because my woman... she does not want to hear it.

It's weird, isn't it? The lady who lives with me for some reason has no interest in how my daemonic legion organizes itself.
Is the felt just an aesthetic thing or does it help the terrain stay 'put', so to speak?

It would definitely help with stability on some surfaces, but not all. It was an aesthetic choice for sure. Bit of a perfectionist, as I’m sure many of us are, so the tiny gap does irk me somewhat, but I’d defiantly use the felt again. It makes the pieces look and feel so much better.
Checked out your own work dude, they way you use colour is fantastic, really original, it draws your attention immediately. Your painting style is so gritty and unique, I love it, it really stands out.

Just a little bump!
Ebay auctions ending tomorrow night about 17:00!
Here’s a couple of final pics, one of the whole collection. This terrain defiantly looks better the more of it you have on the tabletop...
