Hello All,

Here is one of my latest works. A Chaos Space Marines Sorcerer in Terminator Armor.

I modified this model a little bit from the original form. I changed out the terminator lord legs for another set of legs from the Chaos Terminator set. I wanted the legs with different stance and trim on it. I posed the model facing sideways on the chaos rocks instead of the original pose straight out from it. I wanted it to look like he is reacting to an enemy and casting a spell to attack. I also widened out the arms and aimed the staff a bit more down. Again to make it look like he is using his staff to cast an attack spell. I did this by pinning the arms more outstretched and filling in the gaps with greenstuff. I had to shave down a parts of the back of his helmet trim and a part of the terminator body around the head to get his helmet more of a turn to face the direction his staff is pointing. Because of the outstretching of the arms I could not use the standard chaos pointy bitz on the top of his armor. So, instead I cut three pointy poles off and drilled very fine holes for very small pins to attached them to the top of the model. Note, I painted the ingredients sack hanging on one of the pointy poles to look like skin. I painted his staff and eyes to look like they are glowing with power as he is casting a spell. Some of his armor is to look like it is glowing in response to the sorcerer gathering all this power for the spell through his body/armor. I painted him bright and clean. I know that seems to be old school these days but I like how he turned out. He will definitely stand out on a game table.

I currently have him up for auction on eBay if anybody is interested in him. Here is the link to the auction. https://www.ebay.com/sch/dman89/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=50&_sop=1

Thank you for looking.

I’m rather jealous of your steady hand to get those highlights so crisp, he looks great.

Thank you for the compliment. The steady hand just came with time and experience. I have been building and painting miniatures since the early 1980's as a hobby and been doing it full time as an occupation since 2000.

The more practice you get the better you get.
