Hi folks.

Good god its good to get back into this hobby!

As my first models back after a while i chose to get some ork lootas. I had loads of ideas about outfitting them all with different race looted weapons and some of the standard ones that come in the box to create a unique looking squad of boyz.

Here's my first attempt.

I used the mech weapon arm (i dont want a mech) and have attached an imperial guard autocannon. Looks a little janky held together with blue tac but you get the idea. Hoping for a full 10 man squad eventually. Got a bunch of tau, marine, imperial guard heavy weapons on the way to play with.

Obviously when I play (learning how to as i never learned last time) they will all just be equipped with deff guns.

Thanks for looking.

Ross

Conversion No 2

Just in case anyone is actually interested.

Using the existing frame of one of the lootas but adding a minigun from a repulsor tank. Maybe a bit OTT but I like it.

Conversion No 3

Number 3 uses a flamer cut down to the hand guard combined using greenstuff to attach an imperial guard lascanon to it.

Again, im hoping that people wont have an issue with these mods in game as they will just be equipped with deff guns.

Orks 4 and 5 will get Tau fire power but im waiting on those spares to arrive still

Cheers

That gattling is a LOT of Dakka. What kit is it from?

Nice and orky. The gatling looks particularly.good, but I think you need a few ammo grunts with a massive bucket of shells nearby

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Cheers guys. Appreciate the responses. Converting has always been the most fun part for me.

The 5 man squad is now complete. It will eventually be a 10 man squad but that can wait for now.

I kept looking at the 1st conversion i did but it never really sat well. So I changed it.

So the 5 stand like this.

Squad leader - hefting a Lascannon. No shoulder contraption for him.

Gunner 1 - grabbed a gattling cannon off a damaged primaris repulsor tank. Figured 'da hummies inside' didnt need it anymore. Seein as dey was ded!

Gunner 2 - fancies himself as a bit of an energy weapons expert. He's yet to work out if he actually knows how to use plasma weapons or not.....

Gunners 3 & 4 - these two fought together in a battle against 'da fish eadz'. Unfortunately they were the only 2 to make it back from their previous squad. On a positive note they both got shiney new shootas from them gitz.
