How do?
So recently extracted digit from derrière, and got cracking painting my Ossiarchs. And as the title suggest, I’m using Citadel’s Contrast paints.
As a very lazy and very reluctant painter, these are amazing for me. I can get perfectly reasonable tabletop results with a minimum of fuss. No need to thin them, and their native consistency makes them very easy to work with. They also give me an idea of what consistency to aim for with more traditional acrylics in future.
So far I’m only using five, maybe six colours. Wraithbone base, Skeleton Horde, Shyish Purple, Basilicanum Grey, Akhelian Green and Terradon Turqoise. Bases I’m using Agrellan Badland.
Super quick job, managed to bash out the first 20 in around four hours, barring some touch up work where I missed a spot or the paint didn’t quite settle right.
For anyone else doing Ossiarchs, and Mortek Guard in particular? Do the shields separately! I didn’t, and they’re an absolute sod to do. Hence for the next unit (40 Mortek Spears), I’m painting the shields on sprue, then attaching. Far easier!
And yes, there are pics! All are the original 20 at their various stages.
