But finding it hard to get more resources on it. I don't see a lot of sites that offer that kind of thing. Does anyone have a good source I can take inspiration from?

What kind of bridge? Rail, road, aquaduct? What is the bridge going over? River, lava, another road?

How long? Motorway overpass type, or golden gate bridge style massive suspension bridge or Arnhem style girder truss?

For the larger bridge types do you want to have battles on the mid span, or do operation pegasus style attacks on the abutments. Do you want the bridge to have armed guard posts at the abutments or be a more civilian type?

I think a bridge board can be made to be excellent, but it does need a bit of thinking to make the most out of

Also do you want the bridge to lift up and over the thing the bridge is going over, or do you want a 2 level board with the terrain feature at low level and the bridge abutments on top of a high cliff or embankment?

You could make one like a grand parade bridge - 2 imperial knights wide - 4 lane super highway with awesome flying butressess, walking paths for smaller minnis above the road and giant statues of the God-Emperor along it on either side.

If you want to do a nice 40k styled one, get a Skyshield landing pad (or two) and a load of plasticard. We have a modular one built from that at our FLGS an it looks great.

Plastcraft games do a nice raised highway kit which I use for fallout, it's one of the pre coloured ones too

Those built-in options with the deep canyons and fortresses look awesome! Mine is more modular... these are MDF kits from Promethium Forge that use beer cans as the supports. They're cheap and go together pretty quickly. I've since bought another tower and bridge section for an even longer span, and I'm planning to build some stone abutments out of foam someday.

I was thinking of a normal (maybe even gothic) style bridge, Somethings similar to a modern bridge. With ramps on the sides as like a drive way up. I was hoping to build it almost on opposite mountain sides to bridge the cap, underneath I was thinking a cross road, but I wouldn't be opposed to a river either. I wanted it to be tall enough, to where a normal sized flyer could go under easily. The bridge would probably be the size of a full sized table 6x4? Although, 9th does have a different sized table. I just want a place to start, since this is my first atttempt at an entire board

Pegasus hobbies do a nice metal bridge ("Technobridge") that's wide enough for a baneblade to fit on it. It's only about 25-30cm long, though. It's a plastic kit, too.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Perhaps it would be best to work from the ground up? What's going to be under it? What's going to be on either sides of it? What's the purpose of the bridge? And of course, how big is it going to be?

You could create an interesting lava bridge for a map, the left and right 2 feet of the map being raised areas with patches of dodgey looking cooled rock surrounded by running lava, the bridge a foot or so above it. That idea can easily enough be changed out for ice, or even normal old water (even make it a dried up riverbed from some deathworld.

You could be making a bridge between raised skyplatforms, a more metallic take where the bottom of the board could be a sheet of printed clouds representing the highest areas of some hive planet.

A raised highway is also a possibility, like some portions of fallout where you essentially have 2 playable surfaces, this foot wide roadway covered in busted cars and cracks and then the ground maybe 1 or 2 feet down below with toppled cars, ruins and the standard stuff.

I guess the question is, how playable do you want this table to be?

This smells DIY all the way with the sizes you are picturing, you are not going to find any premade bridge kits that big.

Search MDF bridge for inspiration and start with cardboard. use plasticard and balsawood for the final product.
For making the mountain sides look up model railroad tables. These guys has been making mountain sides since forever in all sizes.
