So I recently got a Lucius pattern warhound titan from a friend of mine. I have a lot of ideas for it ranging from taking a heat gun to the legs(he positioned it standing straight up), to making it all nurgle like, but the base has me wondering. I picked up 2 wooden plaques from a local crafts store(1 smaller and round, 1 bigger and oval). The round one would probably be more accurate but I'm wondering what I should use to attach the titan to this wooden plague? I plan on putting a wrecked dread/rhino, ruined walls, and debris but what would be the best way to get all of this to stick to the wooden plaque? Thanks for any help.

i used bolts to mount the weapon arms, so maybe you could use bolts in to the foot of your titan to secure it to the wood

Are they pre lacquered or just bare wood?

If they are already lacquered, you'd probably do to rough the surface that you want to be the actual ground debris to be on a little with sandpaper.

If they aren't, you could either lacquer it yourself, then do your basing, or do your basing, then lacquer once painting is complete. Unless you're leaving them bare wood of course.

You will have no issues sticking basing materials to wood. I have many models directly based on wooden plaques or cross cuts of raw timber, see images.

I would definitely take advantage of the wood to secure the model too, as mentioned above, using small screws or something similar. Same with the wrecked rhino, depending on how much of it you're using.

I picked the wooden plaques up from a local craft store. Doesn't look like they're lacquered. My concern was stuff just sliding off or someting.

As other have said use pin for the titan itself, small nails hammerd in from the bottom and then drill out matching holes in the feet.

For basing materials like sand and grass use normal pva/wood glue. For anything else use 2 part epoxy glue that any hardware store sells. Mix it, scruff the surfaces, apply it, let it cure for 24H. Gonna take a lot for that stuff to be removed when it is properly cured.

Yeah you'll have no issues gluing onto wood. A PVA or paste glue will be best, although due to laziness and hastiness I just use regular super glue. Long as you get the item to be glued on before it soaks into the grain, you'll be fine.
