Hi guys, hoping someone can help. I'm looking for companies that create large (twice to four times size of a normal 28mm miniature) female creatures/monsters that I can use or adapt to be an avatar for an eldar exodite army. Something like a female demon would probably be good, but preferably not one that is too obviously 'evil' looking (like a slaanesh demon would, for example, with extra limbs, claws, hooves, etc.). Either that or something nature/forest related, like a treeman(woman). Bird-like might work as well.

I've already looked through the current GW AoS catalogues and come up blank. I've also looked at https://creaturecaster.com/uk/ who have some pretty awesome models, but nothing quite seems to fit. The treewalker model they have may be along the right track, but it seems very large - I don't want my avatar to tower over the regular Eldar avatar. Something between the GW avatar and the Forgeworld avatar in size would be ideal.

For anyone more into Eldar lore, I'm creating an avatar of Lileath (daughter of Isha). She'll be either nature themed to fit in with the exodites and the maiden worlds, or possibly more mystic themed, as she's the goddess of dreams and fortune.

So, yeah, looking for either miniature companies creating large demon-scale female models, or suggestions of particular miniatures that might fit the themes above. Any help is appreciated!

Try Syl-Iriah, Spirit of the Woods - Heroic version. She should be 3.94 tall. There is also a larger one, but you said you did not want that.

Nice model, but not really what I'm looking for. I'm more after an avatar-scale creature rather than something human proportioned (albeit with huge wings and antlers and long flowing dress). Also something that looks a bit more inhuman/alienesque would be cool. Something more along the lines of this: https://creaturecaster.com/us/product/lady-of-anguish/ or this: https://creaturecaster.com/uk/product/matriarch-of-ecstasy-priestess/ or even this Sarah Kerrigan conversion: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/522369.page but like I say, without the hooves, claws, entrails (on that first one), etc.

Thanks though!

Maybe Alarielle? Not sure how big she is on her own.

You're welcome. Have you thought about getting an action figure, say Sarah Kerrigan, and using it as a base for conversion?

I'm looking at the same Kerrigan model as the one in that dakka link, they're really expensive in the UK, though (£100+). I can get one through AliExpress much cheaper, but I'm a bit loath to do that, because I'm not sure what quality I'm actually going to receive. I'm struggling to find any other decent Kerrigan models. EDIT: okay, that Kerrigan model isn't even available through AliExpress, after all. :/

Again, Alarielle is a bit too human (or elf) looking, not alienesque enough for my purposes. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

That's an interesting model - I hadn't come across Mierce before, some of their more monstrous models are cool, but not many fit with what I'm going for. That moraine sorcerer is certainly a possibility, though I'm not really going for a fiery Avatar of Khaine, more a nature-y/mystical avatar of Lileath. Crystalline is definitely an idea I hadn't thought about, though. Gives me some more ideas, at the very least.

*Nod* They can be expensive in the US too. When I tried googling Sarah Kerrigan before making my previous post, there was an $299 one on eBay. A few years ago, when I was playing 1st ed. Malifaux, there was an article on making "haunted" trees, using action figures for a base. The cheap ones look cheap, and quality ones are expensive. Eventually I gave up on it. Should I get lucky on eBay some day, the project might revive.

Mierce Miniatures has some fine sculpts, but they are too pricey for my blood.

That's an interesting model, but it's waaaay too mech/tech-suit for what I'm after. It does give me an idea for another project, though... Thanks!

That's fantastic! My only concern is it's a bit too much like an avatar of Khaine. That said, I think I'm going to buy this and get it printed anyway, it's such a cool model! And I might be able to modify it somewhat to meet my needs. Or just use it as a Khaine proxy for my regular Eldar! Just need to find an obliging printer now...

And these are some pretty great models, too, especially the Warlord Saga range. I particularly like this model: https://www.andreaeurope.com/en/1/andrea-miniatures/123/warlord-saga/1914/ws-31-zwothel-queen-of-darkness.html If I can sculpt some bio-armour onto her and give her an ethereal, alienesque paint job, she might be perfect!

Thanks everyone, I wasn't expecting such a good response. Keep the suggestions coming, though, I'm always after more ideas!

Definitely alienesque, but it's maybe a bit too frilly and 'noble-couture' for what I'm going for, which is a bit more naturalistic. Cool model, though! Wish I could find a decent sized image of it, so I could get a good look at the detail on it, though. :/

Anyone have any more suggestions of designers/manufacturers that make larger scale, bipedal demons/creatures? Still looking...

here's some more 54mm minis from various manufacturer's:
https://www.elgrecominiatures.co.uk/collections/types?q=54mm%20Fantasy%2FSci-Fi
there might be some manufacturers you've not heard before & might want to visit their sites as El Greco might not stock all that each company makes.

Yeah, it's a beautiful miniature, one I'd already seen. Barring the horns, I thought it would be perfect, but unfortunately it's apparently quite small. Someone posted that it was smaller than a space marine. Not sure if that's total height or just the body, but either way it's not large enough for my Avatar of Lileath purposes.

Thanks for suggesting it, though, much appreciated! If you spot any other likely models, let me know.

When you say commission one, do you mean commission someone to design one then get it printed through Shapeways? That's an idea, though I wouldn't have any idea how to go about it as I've never done that before. Wouldn't it be expensive to commission a ~70mm figure?

I guess she's to humanoid for what you've got in mind, but there's a suitably large Poison Ivy figure whose limbs etc already look weirdly like eldar armour, if you'd add the missing obligatory gems with green stuff https://shop.eaglemoss.com/hero-collector/dc/poison-ivy-arkham-asylum-figurine

That's an interesting idea... I could sculpt more onto her, swirls of energy and things, give her elf ears, and I'd need to work out some way of altering that shirt so it's not so modern-day-human looking. I'd also need to give her something to carry, probably a spear in her right hand and I quite like the idea of a lantern in her left. My only concern is that the pose is a little bit passive and lacking in dynamism.

Just found this which looks great and might suit my needs: https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/art/sculptures/sekhmet-by-creative-geek-mb

The base won't work and she might look a bit too Egyptian but I think I might be able to work around it.

Personally, I don't like the 'Amish Space Elves' cliche for Exodites. I feel like they can be so much more. If they ever come back, I hope GW look beyond that cliche and give us something richer.
