Oh the tragedy. I just finished painting this model yesterday. My first model for which I tried to minimize the use of dry brushing. When I finally ended up satisfied with the result, I knocked it off the table by accident, while cleaning up my brushes. The model hit the ground head first. The sword broke. I barely kept my cool (let's say the pandemic is getting at me). I quickly set about trying to fix it, being already overwhelmed with despair and the fatalistic idea that I just ruined beyond repair this model.
So, here is the final result. What do you think of it ? Do you have any suggestions to make sure the sword doesn't break easily again. Do you think the damage can be hid in a better way ? I'm all hears.

Tends to be the problem with the newer plastics from GW. They are so fine that they're easily broken and not easily fixed.

I think your repair job looks fine and I was none the wiser until you pointed it out. Super glue is your best pal in this case.

I agree with the previous comments. If you hadn't said something, I wouldn't have known. Nice paint on it as well! Nice to see another spiritseer showing up in the game!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

Well thank you. It's one of the reason why I was so upset when it broke, lol.

I would recommend learning how to pin fragile parts or joins. This will be big help in reinforcing the area and avoid breakages. Not so bad on plastics but I pin pretty much every join I can with resin models.

Yes, indeed. However, I doubt I could have pinned the blade of the sword (it was broken at the base, just before the guard of the sword). Luckily, the gemstones of the blade were unbroken.
