Hey all I wanted to share a project I recently started. I'm new to Warhammer and decided to start an ork army. This will take some time of course but I wanted somewhat of a center piece to put on the table when my friends and I finally get around to playing.

looking good so far! I once built one of these, probably the exact same papercraft templates you are using and I'm tempted to build more.
Might I suggest you go get some plasticard tubing of varying sizes to simulate the pistons? obviously you don't have to, but I think it would look nice. I used to find two plasticard tubes that woudl allow one to slip over the other that way it would look more like a piston.

I used to get mine from a place called HobbyTown USA. I am not sure if any are decently near you. You can try just making a trip to either and asking for plasticard or plastruct or plastic sheet.
On the other hand, you could also just order from amazon if you feel safer doing that: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=plastruct Automatically Appended Next Post: id suggest picking up a variety of sizes. You can use them for pistons and piping wherever you like. just use like hot water or a hair dryer to bend them. just be careful. This isn't resin so too much heat is bad XD

Still at it little by little. Can't decide how the armor should look on the other leg yet though

Good progress so far.
Perhaps use spare bits from your collection or your friends for the other leg armor panels. Extra rhino doors, sponson parts or even pieces of terrain that got nicked can all be used as reinforcement pieces.

Little more visible work done. The card i was using was too thin so I had to cut open the back pieces and add 5 minute epoxy to thicken it out and add strength. I also used milliput underneath the two shoulder pieces to add strength and weight

Really impressive scracth building here, cant wait to see the progress on it!
I've done some big projects too (not yet titan level though), and you got throught what I consider the most difficult part, which is getting the overall base and structure.
What other scractch build models have you done before this one?

This is my first. But I've done a lot of sculpting and casting of resin pieces before. I've even tried my hand at sewing but I suck at it. That project was a skeksis from the Dark Crystal Netflix series, which I just adored

Haven't gotten any more work on this done yet. So I figured the only smart thing to do would be to start a second project. Here's an armorcast printed warhound that I will be converting to Nurgle
