Well, the FF stuff was supposed to be in hand at Mantic on Aug 9th. Since we haven't heard anything, I think we can safely assume they don't have anything yet. Of course, "ground control" or whatever it's called hasn't been updated for awhile, so we have NFI what the actual situation is.

Word on the street is that Mantic Towers is in flames, Ronnie's on the run in Copenhagen with a fake ID, Stewart's about to be executed by South American revolutionaries, Fisty. Glue man is missing off the coast of Japan, Sarah's sealed in a coffin slowly filling with water, and Jake can't remember his password.

Guess we'll find out how it all turns out this fall.

Plus the people who would have had a clue and authority to share said clue would be Ronnie and Co. who were at GenCon. It's like a mini-CNY in August!

Would like to get my shipping notice soon, or at least word of what's going on if that's not possible.

Just finished my pledge manager for DBX. I, uhh, kind of had no idea what I was looking at. I mean, don't get me wrong, that pledge manger looks to be much better than the surveys, especially the part that tells you what you are already getting. I just meant my memory of that kickstarter itself is a haze. There are like a dozen individual models and several teams of this or that, I didn't really feel too obligated to add anything else aside from picking up the small rebs team out of faction loyalty and that Eclipse cause who doesn't love space wolf people?

Nah, we'll find out next week when some insider spoils everything online.

When's DBX's pledge manager close? I'm still debating if it's something that will actually see any tabletop time.

Kids aren't into sports games, but Barzam at least is getting a team or two, so there's a slim chance I can at least get a game or two in on the weekends.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Stewart assured me that the DBX PM will still be open when I receive my Mars Attacks plastics. They'd be daft to close it before we got a chance to find out if we trust the new, improved not-the-good-plastic.

Yeah, I started trying to do mine then gave up realising I'll probably need an hour or so cross-referencing my list of what I pledged for with the front page/KS updates with the pledge manager.

I thought the Asterians were being sent out a week earlier than that, and I haven't had any word yet (didn't get any FF).

It's annoying, because I've now got 2 days of holiday left, and I thought I might have timed it pretty well so I could spend 2 weeks assembling all my terrain (haven't made anything from the first wave yet). But... no.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. I'm hoping we get an update once the senior Mantic folks get over their jetlag from GenCon

I know how you feel. I was planning to spend my Christmas 2012 holidays building Leviathans, and my Christmas 2013 holidays painting my Secret Weapon boards.

So much money for a game I've only played three times :/

Heh. Only $800?

I've only spent about $400 on DZ, have 3-4 full starter armies for everyone in the core group, a few special characters, 2 striders, all terrain, 4 game mats. Good God, how much did you guys get?!

My gaming group aggregated through me, so about $1,700. Oh wait, that's only second survey. So maybe $1800.

Yeah, I'd love to post JUST that image, but I'm afraid one of our new upstart Mods might BANE me as a show of their power for "spamming" the thread.

Well, I got

-The box set
-Plague Booster
-Enforcer Booster
-Marauder Starter & Booster
-Rebs Starter & Booster
-Second Plague Starter & Booster (For the girlfriend)
-Three extra Mats
-A few extra battlezones of the standard scenery
-Chovar, Helfather, and Boomer (None of which I've yet to receive, but they're on Amazon and eBay!)
-Forge Fathers Starter & Booster
-Asterians Starter & Booster
-The six named special characters
-Two sets of striders
-Stuntbot
-Iron Ancestor
-All new models introduced with the second survey
-80 Zombies
-10 Peacekeepers (should have gotten more...)
-2 each of ruined and stronghold battlezones

All of this was from my memory, so I'm probably forgetting something

But as to everyone's discussion of DKQ, I'm backing. It's something simple I can set up on my kitchen table for game night when I have friends over. I just hope they have some kind of connectors for the board pieces.

Boomer is second survey, the chovar and helfather should have been in the first wave?

I got a similar haul but no iron ancestor (bought doomstorms instead), and I had assault so double up all the base stuff. And scenery, there was a lot of that.

Also in for DS for basically the same reasons, easily accessible fantasy game with RPG elements. For when people want to cooperate more than play munchkin and backstab eachother.

I know, I know, they're resin - but they do look seriously nice. Henry & the Flea are going to be a joy to paint (and are larger than I thought!), the fleshdog looks pleasingly upsetting, and that's probably the best Blaine yet.

Is that Ramirez? I can't recall her/an analogue being in the campaign - looks better than the SW one though.

I think she's just a novas vira grunt. They all look good, and I'm thinking most should translate well to the final material, though we'll probably have weaker faces on Belos Bel and the novas vira lady, but still workable.

The painter they use does a great job on those figures too. Really nice work.

You mean Vasquez? Grim's right, she's just a Novas Vira grunt. But with the right paint job, she'll make a fine Vasquez. Unexpected bonus, there.

Which is why I'm just looking at buying resins from the Dungeon Saga campaign.

On the other hand, they do tend to get broken. Mantic should really fix the Surgeon Martian's weapon . . .

Yes, Vasquez! Was getting mixed up with the Sedition Wars IP-baiting name...which I suppose demonstrates why 'brand confusion' is a real thing.

I was actually quite unimpressed by the original concept of the Novas Vira (as they seemed even more generic than modern-warfare troopers), but I think they'll slot into the human faction nicely - the crazy special forces with more scars, stubble and individual variety.

What a shame the Sedition Wars version turned out so tiny.

Newest update says that they sent the Forge Guard back to the toolmaker. So 5-6 day delay. :(

"we saw the production figures and have asked the toolmaker to do more work on the mould. There was a slight issue with pitting on the shoulders, where the plastic doesn’t form properly, and mould mis-alignment on the feet."

That is perfectly acceptable in order to get good quality miniatures. I'm reallllllly looking forward to those space dwarves.

Looks like waiting on a signed book is the cause of my delay.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one somewhat disappointed in the Novas Vira design. I was hoping for something like SHIELD or XCOM agents, instead it's just generic civvies with guns.
