Here is my second platform, made from a Dragon WW2 1/32 88mm German Flak gun. This plastic kit has been a blast to assemble and as so much details it would make the
FW Basilisk carriage kits look bland. The best thing it is that this platform is 56% cheaper than the
FW carriage.
Honestly, I have been amazed by the level of details you get, either on the cannon itself, the cylinder head or the shield. Here, I used the metal cannon rather than the plastic option, which was less realistic
IMO. I manage to adapt some textured plasticard to build the same crew platform as the previous guns and then, I had plenty of bits to "imperialize" the gun a bit. I am quite satisfied with the result and I wanted to share it with you.
As I did previously, I really tried to emphasize on the weathering and the paintjob overall. I used AK rust wash and Tamiya weathering powders diluted with white spirit. I followed the
IA masterclass book too.
I only have one crew for both platforms for the moment, and this one is not actually completely finished. I will add the same feeding system for shells and some ammo on the platform.
Thanks for watching you all.
