No love for the ghosts eh? That's OK, I really like them. They came out exactly as I'd envisioned them. Never fear, you'll like the next project better.

It's a nice shade of green.
It might be the photo washing out the contrast, but I feel they could do with a bit more depth; I would do a very thin, deep blue wash over both the green and grey. But, if you like them, and it's the photo washing them out, then stick with it.

I kind of wish the Ghost had more definition per say. I like the way they look now but maybe highlights or a wash of some kind.

I actually really dig the ghostly flamers, particularly how they aren't the typical white + blue that Warhams spirits always seem to be. I might have gone heavier on the glowy green on all the fiery bits, but then I tend to go heavier on the glowy green all the time

True, but it's one of the "reality != tabletop" things. Sort of like camouflage; real, accurate camo is just boring to look at. Washed out, pale ghosts just don’t have any pizazz. Or extreme highlighting. Does light really reflect off things like that? No (barring chrome and such). Does it look good on a mini? Yes.

So there is nothing technically wrong with your ghosts. But they feel kinda “meh"

I think you're close - they just need a little something! It's like adding salt to a dish... let it simmer a bit, or maybe try out an experiment if you have a spare piece somewhere?

Maybe a darker green in the recesses? I like them, but they don't quite pop for me yet.

I'm considering a couple of different amendments. We'll see how I feel when I get home & have a brush in my hand. The changes won't be drastic though... namely because the are crap castings (like all failcast) and the last thing I want to do is emphasize how inferior the workmanship is on the castings. In all honesty... I don't want them to pop. If they pop, they won't look like ghosts anymore... just screwily painted tzeench flamers.

I have to second the sentiment. The need a bit more contrast to pick up the details on the model.

Sorry if it feels like we are ganging up on you. At the end of the day, they are your models, and if you are happy with them, that’s what maters. Well, that and what The Wife thinks, as She’s part of the drive for this madness. With all the work you have for this army, you might be better served just moving on to the next thing.

Well, I know better than to ignore the advice of my friends. By the same token I'm happy to stand my ground too.

I've got two or three ideas. They aren't as drastic as dipping them in Thrakka Green, but may help make them more visually interesting. Expect and update tonight.

Ghosts are an interesting take, but like everyone's saying they just need a little more depth. Could get by without, but ya know...

Think its the picture or my not very good eyes. I think the left is nicer though. Subtle but nice.
