Beautiful figs there very apt. My first aims going to be to get a troop of bowmen finished and hopefully work out the custom transfer sheet for the army. Stretch goals have naturally already been completed. A couple of Zombicide heroes to give a few more characters for the force.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Awesome stuff guys

Here's what I've been working on:

12 figures from Mars Attacks, 4 USAriadna grunts, primed.

Their accompanying scenery pieces, simple quonset huts, base coated.

I've just received 3 more figures for the batch and the first 16 have all gotten the first base coat. Still want to grab a few more figures to round out the force but they may have to wait and become stretchgoals for other months.

The quonset huts are gonna get doors/windows on the ends and maybe a bit or two thrown on (radio antenna or a flag denoting the building's purpose, whatever, maybe nothing extra) and then dipped and matte sealed so they aren't so shiny. I do want them to look relatively new-ish, just not that bright.

Might as well post a quick WIP photo of what I've been getting up to since completing the board last weekend.

12 15mm Seven Years War Skirmishers and an officer to lead them. I've got most of the base colours done, just faces and the little details to do (hopefully I'll get most of that done this evening) then it'll be down to tidying up, washing and basing.

And as a bit of a sneak preview of future months here's a complete army shot of everything I've got so far.

So still to come (not this month I hasten to add!) is an artillery piece, some hussars and another load of line infantry this time musketeers to provide something different to the previously completed grenadiers. Once that lot are done it'll be time to start thinking about doing another army to fight against this one.

EDIT: Those Anglo Danes are looking very good Huginn

I think I've added I dunno 7 more minis to my attempt this month? Got some in the mail and I'm converting a few old haqqislam ghulam to be 'civilian contractors' or mercs standing in for the 112 emergency doctor, dozer engineer, and wardriver hacker. I've still got a couple of unit types that don't have any models to represent them so I'm probably gonna try to convert the lone/mysterious/whatever ranger and one of my azra'il is becoming a blackjack heavy ranger.

Yeah so... still gonna try to get em all done though I'm stacking the odds against me

Work, so far, on my prehistorics range.

My Clan of the Cave Bear has a chief, two heroes and a skin-walker/shaman. The figures are from Lucid Eye, which was bought up by Warlord who now do the distribution.

The chief, skin-walker and hero up against a Cave Bear (Arcane Scenics and Models)

The rest of the warriors - one 5-man unit of long spears and one 5-man unit of clubs/axes etc.

Still hoping to finish some Mammoths before the end of the month. I'd really like some big cats - sabretooths and lions - for a scenario/mini-campaign I'd like to do based on 'the hunt'.

Looking good there, Tribal. I just finished playing Far Cry Primal recently, so the stone age aesthetic is still fresh in my mind. These guys look suitably guttural and the red-headed one with the shiv looks quite crazed.

Undead Dragon is looking good, TGE. I look forward to better photos to show it off more effectively.

As surprising as it is. I have finished my planned July unit already. Can't explain the heightened progress. But I am not complaining. Here they are:

Very nice always loved the Questing Knights. Got one more Archer to paint for the troop and I'll also probably finish a troop of pole-arms as well but they'll require shield transfers

Brilliant stuff guys Those are some neat Cave-men and everything else is looking great too!

Progress is slow here, probably shouldn't have added the extra models to the bunch. We'll see though, all I need is a little quality painting time and they'll go together quick..

All around good jobs everyone . It's always good to see other projects going and new/old models that I have never run across.

While I might be working on some terrain for the league of extraordinary riveters "let it flow" competition I am still churning along with batch painting zombies. My next herd of 26 berserker inmate zombies started off primed this week (8 were primed and had some paint), but now have all zombie flesh done and green washed, as well as orange jump suits on.

They still need to get their panties painted , those prison chicks just show everything. Hair and the exoskeletal grows painted.

Also built a fountain as the base for the terrain competition and painting has begun on that as well.

I need to get a move on as well, as I've barely started on any Tau models. I've basecoated and added one layer to the models' skin, but that's all.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

I keep building and priming more figures to go with my other dudes. What started out as 'Hey, finish those four grunts for the USARF guys' turned into '12 soldiers from mars attacks, 4 grunts, 3 more USARF guys, 4 more infinity guys standing in for USARF units including a bigass power armor' and I still want to pick up one or two dudes to finish the set =/

Everyone so far is primed though, and just about all base coated. Gonna be hell to pay when it comes time for details though, because there are now 23 models sitting on my painting desk..
