I think the FW blurb said this figure was part of a command squad. So, not Sigismund.

It says they caught sight of a Command SET at the studio. We have already seen Polux(who was a Captain), now we are seeing could be Sigismund(also a Captain).

Sorry, if this is Sigismund the writer would have said it. It is a Captain who will likely have a banner guy with him (as it exists for MkII, III, IV and for the Sons of Horus). If they make a Sigismund model, it will be more impressive IMO (in line with Pollux or Sevetar judging from the sneak peak).

I think that a lot of the Sigismund mumblings are coming from the pose and the similarities it has to the BT EC.

Yeah, and the fact he looks identical to the Sigismund art on the cover of Templar:

Seriously Geek: Occam's Razor. The post mentions the command squad and shows a picture of an ornate Marine. Most likely explanation is that that picture is a preview of the command squad.

I know, like I said. It probably is. But I can see why people would think its Sigismund, and there are things that do point to if being him. But I agree, they said its a command squad, so it probably is a command squad.

I'm very glad they did that. Good move, especially if the fantasy rumours turn out to be false.
I wish they'd done all of them though, not just the ones with models.

Arrrgh Ninja'd! One particular weapon that's been waited for, for sure. Paragon of metal + darkfire cannon = fun times

With the galaxy as large as it is the odds of the average guardsmen seeing and fighting a marine or MEQ are relatively slim. Unfortunately the guardsmen in your (and anyone else who plays IG's) army are the REALLY, REALLY LUCKY ones that fight marines ALL the time... |

I have to get a couple of those, been waiting a long time for that weapon option.
Looks like the power cable is too short - again - to allow free posing of the model, I'll have to order an alternative from Zinge again. Not really good enough.

I've just given up putting the power cables on any of the robots, really limit the poseability (is that a real word?) of the model.

Have you looked at the flexible cables from Zinge ( http://zinge.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=17)? I've used those for all my thanatar and castellax and they made it easy to sort. Need to get some more for my Vorax.

Of course, after I ordered the regular ones, these come out (mine were going to use Darkfire cannons, too).
Which means the plasma fusil Thallax are probably right around the corner, too.

External power cables.fuel hoses feel a bit stupid to me anyway in most cases. Have they really not found a way to internalise or better protect them in the far flung future?
I chop off heavy flamer/meltagun fuel lines for dreadnought arms accordingly.

God, I've always loved the Mechanicus/Mechanicum. I find myself buying their models even though I don't have any particular plans/space for an army!
The Castellax is my personal favorite, and this one is no exception.

don't jinx it please...
the best answer i got was 'soon' when i asked about the legendary phased-plasma fusil.
i am a follower of the cult of WYSIWYG and all my teeth are flat and smooth now thanks to the delay in this particular weapon option.
nice to see progress in the right direction rather than more dreadnoughts.
