Spoiler:

The scopes and gak make sense as he has a special rule that allows him to call in a precision strike once per game. Plus the fluff blurb says that the guy is tasked with issuing tactical orders, coordinating orbital support and whatnot.

Correct!

Well when you're using them they're almost certain to be on the ground, not in space. And every Imperial commander/higher up worth his salt has to wear a greatcoat. Thems the rules!

Wow. I remember them saying something about a Warlord back at the last Baltimore Gamesday and most of us took it with a huge grain of salt.

One suspects it is perhaps a joke that has either been taken literally/seriously or a misunderstanding.

.. That said there's no denying that titans do feature quite a bit in the HH series so ...

Personally I think we'll see more Knight and AD mech stuff first, which will then lead into "dark" or chaos versions for said factions.

I don't think any model bigger than the Reaver Titan would be profitable to produce, they would also cost so much they would barley sell any, plus it would be too large to practically use in any game of 30k or 40k, you'd need like a 8"x4" board to play on

No it's not a joke, they've confirmed they're working on a Warlord Titan.

There will be a Warlord Titan, but not anytime soon.

Guilliman? That's unexpected. Would have thought they'd continue the trend of finishing the Primarchs that already had rules before going into the next books. He's looking really nice, though. Love the pose.

Re the Warlord Titan, that has been being mentioned for quite a while now...

I remember when this image below was "leaked" or somehow acquired by the community - it does tie in with the rumoured modernised Mk I "Beetleback" design, and the modern weapons would fit...

That's someone's personal attempt at creating a 3d model of the warlord that they could 3D print for Epic: Armageddon. This isn't official at all

Well, they've said that some Primarchs will have two models, including some of the Loyalists. Presumably, if this one doesn't have optional Gauntlets, the other one will. I have a feeling they'll do something similar with Khan and his bike.

Come on guys when has the Imperium ever done anything sensable with its fashion sense , also fancy coats are a symbol of their position and authority and you should all know the Imperial Army/Guard love wearing the most pimped out coats possible. Heck look at Creed, his greatcoat is bigger than him!

Serious?

Well, there you go, disregard previous. It was supplied to me as a FW design in progress.

Damn, cause I thought it looked quite cool and feasible from a modelling perspective.

Depends on when exactly he got them, and when that model is supposed to represent. The story behind the gauntlets is very vague, but I know he nabbed them off a chaos champion, so that would have to be post-Calth. Assuming this model is for a Calth book, he wouldn't have them yet.

I personally feel they'd look better without them, as an army of boring old space suits and whatnot. The sergeants certainly don't look any fancier or the like.

Depending on the parts breakdown and the price, I may or may not get the command squad just for the two bodyguards and the Vexilla, replacing the Strategos and Proclaimator with Imperial Fleet models of my own.

This makes sense. Though it'd be cool if he had optional Gauntlet arms in the kit.

having actually been there I'll add that Tony stated it is a long way off but is in progress. I expect it will not arrive before the Stormbird as they'll be competing for the same hobby dollars I think they'll bring it forward a little based on the reception in the room to the idea of a warlord. While I'd prefer to wait for a chaos warlord as my other titans are all chaos I don't think I can wait that long.

In book 4 they talk about a nemisis titan that has 4 reaver weapon mounts and two carapace mounts, some troop space, so still very potent. I would expect the warlord to be the nemisis so they can still keep the size managable for a large (8x4 or 10x4) table. The stormbird seems to have been downsized from the fluff, as has the new giant ray gun (its the smaller one not the larger one).

Ultramarines are getting two books with the world eaters in the second one, Prospero is book 7 seemingly, so May 2016 at present.

From m_r_parker on B&C
They did address Guilman coming before the Book 3 Primarchs - essentially it was a combo of 1) the first three books having 12 Primarchs, and not having the scope to sculpt them all at once with all the other units they have to do, and 2) they need a figurehead for the Calth book as a release, which is either Lorgar or Guillman (and Lorgar already has a model)

The Nemesis class titan was, depending on the background either a long range Warlord Titan or a Warlord Class Psi-Titan.

That's good reasoning, I suppose. With the rate at which they've been releasing Primarchs, I anticipate we'll probably get Guilliman, Dorn, Alpharius, and maybe Corax or Perturabo by the end of the year.

The long range thing fits with book 4 as it was armed with 4 volcano cannons. Doubtful anybody needs more than 96" range on a gun in 40k very often.

I would hope that they don't do Dorn until they sort out his weapon load out, his unwieldy chainsword is a bit of a poor joke.
