Excited to see if the Azrail will be the same style/scale as the other recent one or if they've decided to pull a Jannisary.

Thanks. Did we see a render already?

Not that I have seen so I would say that the idea of it being "exactly the same" is a bit premature.

After all, they revamped the Hac Tao with HMG within the span of months.

Can I ask why? Unless you like getting less actual models? Tinbot is a token as per the rules. There's no actual point having a model for it other than CB wanting to make a cute little robot. However, CB then dropped an actual Jannisary from the box to include it.

As someone who bought the Jannisarys, while I love the models, I'd have much preferred a fourth Jannisary with AP Rifle.

I agree. The tinbot model is swell, but I feel sad that I'm missing a generic AP Rifle model, even after buying the box and the HMG laddie. Awesome models, don't get me wrong, but sometimes you want just a cheapy potential-Lt model running around the table. I should really paint those models, actually, they deserve some paint.

I've never picked up the Haqq starter since, even when I started Infinity, it was obvious that the models inside would receive significant redos and thus I've avoided it. While I love CB for actually revisiting their older models and improving them - unlike other companies we could mention *cough*Cadians*cough* - the side-effect is making the boxes not redone look even more dated. The Yu Jing starter is particularly grim these days.

I would not say exactly the same if I did not know it 100% for sure.

So are the Domaru losing the Chain gun? I hope not. I really like that model.

Didn't see this image making rounds anywhere. It's a really tiny, blurry shot of the list of October releases.
It reads the following:
Domaru Butai, Japanese Sectorial Army, Yu Jing
Roger Van Zant, Captain of 6th Airborne Ranger Regiment 'Oklahoma', USARF, Ariadna
Seraph Armoured Cavalry, Military Orders, PanOceania
Azra'il (HMG), Qapu Khalqi, Haqqislam
Dactyls (Doctor), Steel Phalanx, ALEPH

Minor correction: The Azra'il will get a AP HMG, which will be a first for Haqqislam and make it different than the Jannisary.

Well, that Azra'il will be on my "to buy" list.
I really like the first resculpt but never liked the weapon, an AP HMG, now that I can find room for.

I don't think they're losing the profile, but there isn't a Chain Rifle sculpt in the box... Are they AVA5 in JSA? I'm guessing they'll still have a Chain Rifle Domaru in the starter box for JSA whenever they get round to resculping it.

Of these,
Domaru Butai, Japanese Sectorial Army, Yu Jing
Roger Van Zant, Captain of 6th Airborne Ranger Regiment 'Oklahoma', USARF, Ariadna
Seraph Armoured Cavalry, Military Orders, PanOceania
Azra'il (HMG), Qapu Khalqi, Haqqislam
Dactyls (Doctor), Steel Phalanx, ALEPH

We already pretty much know what Van Zant, the Dactyl and the Azra'il will look like, since there are existing minis. The new Domaru and the Seraph however, only the renders. I'm quite looking forward to seeing the Seraph. The Azra'il HMG is a far more useful profile than the Feuerbach in most circumstances, given the nature of the Azra'il these days.

Any rumors about the HSN3 release date? If CB intends a Christmas release, I would expect them to announce it this forthcoming October.

And only 10 more release this year after October. 2 will be USAriadna. The remaining 8?

Having seen the render, I'm more curious to see the rules changes to the Seraph rather than the model.

It's now an AP HMG, apparently. Should give it a bit more kick.

Opinion on the street is we'll be getting something to sweeten that it's S7 now. General consensus seems to be AD TAGs will never happen again, but I'd settle for AP being given to the spitfire and superjump.

The Uhlan, Tikbalang and Seraph are getting changes. Apparently Pan-O TAGs do not sell very well at this point. Something Interruptor said at a recent seminar. Sadly, the worst seller is the Jotums How can people resist the Goalkeeper TAG?

AP HMG, even better. I suspect there is more to come too. Right now there are only 2 expensive profiles on a linkable unit. Something is going to change. Most likely they will drop the linkability, and perhaps give something else. Bostria did say they were planning on changing the Azra'il. I would be surprised if they released another mini though.

Bostria said something about revising the unit as QK had more than enough linkable options. So losing the link ability and gaining something to make it a better solo peice is my guess.

I think it might be mostly due to the fact that T.A.G.s in general just got worse in N3?

Maybe?

Because otherwise there's no reason to not field a JOTUM as much as possible!

TAGs do fine in N3. I believe it is the ITS stuff. TAGs are not points well spent in ITS. Another reason the scenarios need to be revised, heavily revised, IMHO. Not many people are going to buy TAGs if they see no opportunity to field them in a game.

The Jotums lacks a sectorial too, and so has to compete with the cutter in vanilla. Make TAGs a viable choice in the ITS scenarios, and release the Svalarheim sectorial, then Jotums' sales will increase.

So, Gujia 2.0 releases this year. That's 7 releases unaccounted for. (And the specific USAriadna releases)

Didn't the increase in the power of The Hacker in N3 mean yet another reason to not bring a T.A.G.?

Other than that giant kneeling bug thing, the Jotum is the least visually appealing TAG I've found in the game.

Looks are subjective. To me it's the best looking, it's just I don't run a vanilla PanO army. When the Swedish Chef sectoral gets released though, I'm there.

Nah, if I were trying to troll you, I'd have added a quip about the new and improved HH Stormhammer that finally got rid of those goofy extra turrets.

You realise how awfully tempting it is when you say these things, right?

the thing with TAGs in N3, especially in ITS, is not just the N2->N3 changeover. The way ITS '14 had Lt.'s as specialists would have made TAG's perfectly useful at the current relative power levels. Yes it's a glass cannon, and yes it has hard counters - but it's infinity. There's nothing in the game that doesn't suffer those two things
As it stands now however, you simply cannot stand the loss of so many points on a non-specialist, which will then waste a metric f***tonne of orders doing what it does - but not being able to do jack to actually win under many scenarios while expending those precious, precious orders. And let's be fair, a PanO list with a TAG, the ITS required number of specialists and something that has some firepower just in case the bl**dy TAG goes down on turn 1 (again...) means 8-10 orders is all you'll have.
Ariadna can suffer the inefficiency of the woofbrigade rushing ahead killing stuff without completing objectives - because they're perfectly capable of expending 6-8 orders on that and having another 8-10 orders to complete objectives with. We don't get that kind of luxury.
There's nothing really wrong with that, but the way ITS keeps effectively punishing players for wiping out their opponents on turn 1, or at least properly putting the fear of God into them through superior firepower (don't tell me I'm not a fluffy player. I happen to shoot your face off quite competitively, but I always bring a good ol' box of excuses ), you just can't afford that kind of points expenditure in 300pts. No need to change the profiles on those TAGs, just either give me back Lt. specialists or reward shooting them all and letting God sort them out in ITS a little more. That's all we need to start bringing the bloody things again, really.

...And Moderators cannot place anyone on 'ignore' ^_^

The scenarios are the problem. Redesign them, and restructure the ITS format so that it is not 3-4 random (well, as chosen by the TO) scenarios in whatever order... This is probably a discussion for the general Infinity thread at this point... so I'll stop.

I don't expect to see any previews until next week. Ah, here is a little bit of information from Interruptor himself https://waywardwarcor.wordpress.com/2015/09/30/tidbits-with-gutier/

Interesting about the Paradiso stuff.
