Looking good. So is this going to be a Kickstarter? or if not do you know when they will be available?

Hi everyone,
On some of the forums people are asking : “but do the bases have a fixation system between one another ?”
The answer is: they don’t fix to each other. The material they’re made of is not too light and the other side of the base is glossy.
This allows a natural adherence on all surfaces (like a table, or on a tablecloth).
The first video will allow you to understand fully what we mean.
We did throw 2 bases on our table. One flat (Cobblestones base) and one tridimensional (Column Ruins base). The result ? When they land on the table they land firmly in place and do not glide over...

Still no price point yet? 6x4 would be 24 tiles for my gaming board. Typical 3x3 for skirmish games.

Kick it off and let's check it out.

A break down on the pledges would be fantastic. I will be backing.

Interesting! I had assumed they were hard plastic, but the tough rubberized material seems neat. Might make it more resistant to paint chipping.

Looking forward to it

For those ruins, it looks like they have some narrow corridors.. how wide are they? Will they fit a model on a 30mm or 40mm round base?

I hope you've worked out shopping cost estimates, as that seems like it will be the real hurdle (for non-EU folks, at least). Looking forward to checking it out!

the most narrow corridor may contain a basis of the maximum diameter of 4 cm.

the shipping costs are always the biggest obstacle.
but, our 3D Bases are relatively light. and we are looking for couriers at low cost.
certain that America, Australia and Canada ... the distance you hear, especially in shipping.

Thanks to all for your comments.

These have some great potential as a pretty nifty display board for my army. Fantastic looking designs, you should be very proud of them!

Do you have a planned launch date, out of curiosity? Looking forward to seeing the Kickstarter draft page before it goes live

@RiTides. we have a "little" setback... we have a partner in the hospital from 2 weeks. therefore we are late on the work process of the bases.
but for next week certainly everything should be back in full swing.
so at this time for us, fix a definite launch date it is difficult.
for now enjoy you the test page, that we'll publish by tomorrow.

Wow, love the video! It looks like it is vacuum formed, rather than cast in solid resin, which makes it WAY lighter and easier to transport - I'm much more interested now!

Do you know what shipping is on say the 16 rough terrain tile set?

Very excited for this but I noticed the difference in the size of some of the tiles, the Abbey is 60x60cm and all other tiles are 90x90cm. Also could we get a picture with some of the other tiles joined onto the complete Abbey set so we can see what it looks like if we want to expand on it. Thanks.

I hope that's a mistake and all tiles are in fact the same overall size!

I think it's just wording - every tile looks to be 30cm x 30cm, and then in some graphics they show the total area multiple tiles would cover (such as 90cm x 60cm).

Man, I really wish the tiles were a true 12 inches instead of 11.8 inches... are you estimating them as 30cm or are they really 30cm exactly and thus 0.2 inches short on each dimension (which will stack up if you want to form a full table / playing area)?

the "Shipping & Delivery" will be open very soon. we are looking into various couriers.

@overtyrant we are currently preparing the molds all the bases.
As soon as we are ready all the bases. we'll see how you can make various battlefields or skirmish.

of course all the 3D Bases are 30x30 cm. - (1x1 ')

the 6 Abbey bases are for those who will use only for the skirmish or RPG.

Metric system baby!

That 'only' leaves you an inch or so short on the 6' side though, right?

No big deal, really...

We in fact had to mediate on two of measurement systems...

While in many ways I prefer metric most game systems use inches for their playing areas. It's not a big deal, but makes it a lot less likely Warmachine players will be interested, for instance, since you'll be 0.8" short on the sides (obviously, you could just subtract that from any unit coming on from the sides - but in a game where fractions of an inch are a big deal, it's been a common complaint that wargaming mats are not exactly sized, either).

Looking forward to this regardless

The abbey looks great. Do you have any plans for new tiles, for stretch goals? I'd love to have a 3x3 board filled with tiles like that, with each one unique

thanks. all the bases that we have yet to present will be revealed during the KS. one by one every few days.
while by tomorrow we will present the first 2 Stretch Goals.

every time we introduce a new base, we will create new add-ons packages that will include the new 3D Base.
you'll probably find at the end the add-ons package that suits you.
otherwise, individually you choose your tiles in the "Single Bases" section

Hi Lorenzo -

These look amazing and I will definitely be getting the stunning Abbey Ruins.

One thing to possibly reconsider is the title of the Kickstarter. I think "3D Bases" is misleading as it's a common term for individual miniature bases. I almost skipped over this forum topic for that reason alone. I'd hate for you to miss potential backers due to a simple misunderstanding of the product by the way the title is worded.

Good luck with the campaign !! I can't wait for it to launch !

Thanks, But, now change the name is virtually impossible ... it would mean redoing all the graphics, text and a thousand other things. including the fact that we'll create problems for those who already know the project. and are very many .
it means that you will have to spread the name of the project as much as possible. we are counting on all of you.
