I've created a set of data files for use in the free Battlescribe roster builder (for desktop and mobile devices), they're available here. Obviously it's a first release, so if you find any errors please let me know!


@ ziggurattt, as you've also been working on battlescribe files, if you see anything that could be improved, send me a message and maybe we can team up

Great stuff! Have downloaded and it seems to work well - time to come up with some lists!

Any plans to port this over to Army Builder?

I haven't worked with army builder in years, so not from me unfortunately. If anyone wants to give it a go and needs something from these Battlescribe files that's not a problem of course.

I'm reviving this thread, as I finally installed and used the Battlescribe software and files. I only did it with Karists, but was able to create a two-detachment 150 point force without reading the manual.

Cool! Update planned for the release of the new sprue, also working on making the output look a bit more clean and convenient.

Files are now updated to include the new expansion sprue's units and options (notably Karist Praetorians and Epirian Suppression Teams). It's a bit of a rough patch rather than a proper update, which will follow whenever Battlescribe v2 is released. Let me know if you find any errors

I've released a complete rework of the files for Battlescribe 2.0. Let me know if there's issues!

The data files have been working fantastic so far. Just a few bugs/annoyances from BSv2 itself.

Cool, yeah, the developer seems to be working really hard at fixing all the bugs. It may not seem like it on the outside, but the machinery of BattleScribe has been thoroughly reworked which is really nice on the data file making side of things Comes with some bugs in the beginning though.

The only annoyance I have with v2 is the "+" to add a unit. If you add a unit by mistake there's no minus. In the old version if you pressed back instead of the tick, it ignored the add. Now, even back adds it regardless of pressing the tick.

Otherwise it's fine. It seems to have attracted a lot of hatred in the Android play store though. :-(

I've uploaded a new version of the Battlescribe files with the Broken faction added in. Expect minor updates as I iron out bugs/improvements.

Seems like the data files site is kinda acting up too: if you are able to select the Broken catalogue but can't actually select a Broken force, then try to update the data files again later on. As soon as it says 'Maelstrom's Edge v5' it should be alright.

Thanks for notifying! I published a fix release just now, but I'm never sure how long it takes for that to become available to download. Maybe a day? In the meanwhile: could it be that you have the option of selecting either the "[Epirian Foundation] Journeyman Bot Handler detachment" or, lower in the list, the "Journeyman Bot Handler detachment"? If so, try the last one: all units might be available that way.

Added the new Karist Heavy Weapon troopers.

Added Karist Angel Keeper detachment.

Added Broken Gnolti and Sig Jammer units. Happy hunting

Added the new Marsayan Hypnotist for the Broken

Added the Epirian Master Bot Handler (and his detachment).

Added new options for Broken Chieftains.

Fixed some errors in the Broken file, added the Hakoyu Grand Master and, for the Epirians, added the Contractor Scouts and Defenders.

Today's update has the awesome Pa'ku artillery for the Broken

Added the SecDef Rapid Intervention Team for the Epirian Foundation.
